The 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer ES compact sport sedan is powered by an all-new, all-aluminum 2.0-liter MIVEC (Mitsubishi Innovative Valve-timing Electronic Control) four-cylinder engine that delivers 152 horsepower.

A five-speed manual overdrive transmission is standard, while a Sportronic CVT (continously variable transmission) with steering-wheel-mounted magnesium paddle shifters is available as an option.

Standard features for the Lancer ES include a seven-airbag safety system, including advanced dual-stage front airbags, as well as antilock brakes with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution, which deliver optimal performance in any conditions.

Other features include integrated fog lamps, power windows, mirrors, and door locks, cruise control, a tilt adjustable steering wheel with controls for the audio system and cruise control, a tire pressure monitoring system, and a 140-watt four-speaker AM/FM stereo system with a CD player and MP3 input.

The Lancer ES is available with an optional Accessory Appearance Package that includes a chrome exhaust tip, mudguards, and scuff plates, as well as a Sun and Sound Package that includes a power glass sunroof and a 650-watt Rockford Fosgate stereo system with a six-CD changer and Sirius satellite radio.
