The 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer DE compact sport sedan is powered by an all-new, all-aluminum 2.0-liter MIVEC (Mitsubishi Innovative Valve-timing Electronic Control) four-cylinder engine that delivers 152 horsepower.

A five-speed manual overdrive transmission is standard, while a Sportronic CVT (continously variable transmission) with steering-wheel-mounted magnesium paddle shifters is available as an option.

Standard features for the Lancer DE include a seven-airbag safety system, including advanced dual-stage front airbags, as well as antilock brakes with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution, which deliver optimal performance in any condition.

Other features include integrated fog lamps, power windows and mirrors, a tilt adjustable steering wheel, a tire pressure monitoring system, and a 140-watt four-speaker AM/FM stereo system with a CD player and MP3 input.

The Lancer DE is available with an optional Accessory Appearance Package that includes a chrome exhaust tip, mudguards, and scuff plates.
