2006 Chevrolet Impala LTZ Summary

A new addition to the Impala lineup for 2006, LTZ is a common badging for luxury-oriented Chevy cars. Upscale enhancements at this level include heated leather seats, a premium Bose audio system, 17-inch alloy wheels and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. The front bench is also swapped out for two more inviting bucket seats at this level.

While the LS and LT and both powered by the new 3.5 liter V6, the LTZ upgrades to a standard 3.9 liter V6, producing 240 horsepower and 242 pound-feet of torque. The same four-speed automatic transmission is also paired with this mill. Many reviewers have advised that this level of engine power is the best suited to match the sedan's rather mediocre suspension and steering systems.
