History of the Mercedes-Benz 500-Class
[Edit] Mercedes-Benz upped the power quotient of its early-1990s model line with the 500-Class, which featured the automaker's 5.0-liter V8 engine. Starting with the 500SL, introduced in 1990, Mercedes soon added the 500E and 500SEL sedans to the line, and in 1993 introduced the next-generation 500SEC Coupe. All models came with a long list of standard features that helped defined the luxury automaker's cars, including leather seats, cruise and climate control, and power everything, from windows and door locks to mirrors and antennas.
