CarGurus' 2003 BMW 530 Review

Fast and roomy, the 2003 BMW 530 was launched as BMW enthusiasts began speculating that designers were hard at work on a fifth generation of the popular 5-series. Despite that, there were some nice additions to the 2003 model year 530: the car was slightly bigger than its predecessors, allowing easier access to the back seat and moon roofs became standard on the 530.

There were fewer changes under the hood. The 530 retained the 225 horsepower, 3.0 liter engine, and owners could choose from three, six-speed transmission options. BMW claimed - and drivers confirmed - that this year's six speed gearbox worked smoother than previous models.
