CarGurus' 2006 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Review

The variety afforded by the Silverado 1500 line of trucks all but guarantees that it would be broken down into 15 different models by any other maker. However, Chevy knows its customers, knows the customers love the Silverado, and know that its customers love choices.

The line of 2007 Chevrolet Silverado 1500s includes a variety of engines, including a hybrid. A 195-horsepower 4.3-liter V6 is the base engine, but few consumers choose that one (comments include "wimpy," and "why is this in a truck this size??") The SS is more popular the with 345-horsepower, 6.0-liter V8 which gets 380 lb/ft of torque.

The Silverado drives like what it is: a truck. It is powerful and reasonably comfortable. Its ruggedness is well-known and respected.
