when starting from cold,the temperaure gauge goes to the top and the rev counter doesnt move,but when i tap the dash a few times then both work as they should any help would be great,thanks,Anthony

I have (maybe) a similar problem - the fuel gauge doesn't work, and the rev counter sometimes act weirdly. Tapping doesn't help (or when the fuel gauge is up (incorrectly), which sometimes happen for no apparent reason, tapping helps him to drop again). Anyway, I've been told its some electrical problem with the dashboard... But I didn't try to fix it because I'm planning to get a new(er) car... I just fill it up to the top and then use the mileage to calculate when should I fill it up again :))))
