Prosfuel mileage, comfort, power Conshavent found any yet, however you do have to learn how to let the traction control work for you in the snow.

Very Happy With Decision , Even 1 Year Later — cannot get weather tech floor mats for this car. Overall this car has performed excellent. handling superb, quality of german engineering is 5 star and I plan on having this car for 200k plus miles. I would recommend the TDI package to anyone. Almost 1 year of ownership and am averaging 40.09 mpg over 13K miles. Volkswagen has performed basic check up at 10k , oil change and tire rotation , all at no charge. Primary Use: Commuting to work |

Fuel Economy Champ That Happens To Be Fun To Drive — I test drove this vehicle while waiting for the Hyundai Veloster Turbo to arrive at dealerships. I became interested in the TDI after reading a review on it and I realized that this car could be an alternative to the Veloster Turbo since I was looking for a fuel efficient yet fun vehicle to drive. The Veloster Turbo seems to meet these requirements but so does the VW Golf TDI and the TDI gets even better fuel economy than the Veloster Turbo. I was able to take the TDI on some switchbacks and it handled very well. The seats held me nice and firmly yet were also very comfortable. Once the Golf TDI was in it's torque band the car pulled very well and I know I would be happy living with this car. The pricing seems to be comparable to that of the Veloster Turbo but I imagine the VT would be a bit more fun to drive since it was built to have a sporting nature. I guess we will see once I'm able to hop into one. |

Fun And Fuel Effecient - Yes, They Can Coexist! — The VW Golf TDI is a turbo diesel that blows hybrid cars out of the water. Don't trust the EPA ratings on this car. My long commute to work was done at 48 MPG and this car is absolutely effortless to drive and a bundle of fun as well. It handles the corners remarkably well and its high torque pulls the car strongly. I thought my Mazdaspeed3 was the best all around car but the VW Golf TDI dethrones it in my eyes. The VW Golf TDI is the best commuter vehicle period because it doesn't feel like you are driving a commuter vehicle but it sips fuel like a commuter vehicle. Primary Use: Commuting to work |
