ProsHandles like something well above it's class, MDI cable is a must have for every vehicle . ConsNot the best fuel economy in class, but it's a GTI so who cares.

The Ultimate Hot Hatch — The 2012 GTI is yet another gem in the long line of hot hatchbacks from VW. It handles and races well outside its class, and the numbers don't do it justice. One of the most fun cars to drive I've ever been in, and I've driven everything from 645d's to SL55 AMG's. I've raced and beaten Mazdaspeed 3's, WRX's, TT's, and Si's. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) |

Great Car — As most of reviews i have read on this car have stated this is an overall great well rounded car. It is extremely reliable, it is very fuel efficient, and fun to drive. for a performance car in the price range it is lacking some performance areas. The acceleration and power while impressive is not as competitive as other vehicles in the same price range. but overall i am very pleased with this purchase. Primary Use: Commuting to work |

One Of The Best Compact Car With Great Price/quality/fun Ratio — Performance - Lots of torque for a lightweight car, loads of fun! Build Quality - it's German, DUHHH! Appearance - Looks simple and beautiful without all the bells & whistles Cost of Ownership - great gas mileage given the performance Fun Factor - 10/10 especially on rural roads |

Wicked Fun To Own And Drive. — This is one smart looking car - From the cutting edge exterior trim lines to the sporty chrome line dash. The Interlagos plaid Recarro seats seals the deal looks-wise. This car is a beast if you get your revs about 3K and the turbo kicks in, but it's also very civilized - you can shift it at low RPM (under 1.5K!) and cruise at 40 MPH in 6th. This takes some getting used to, but it's fabulous. To top it off, fuel economy is quite decent. Whenever I drive my GTI I think to myself, why doesn't everyone drive a VW? Bravo, Vee-Dub, you've done it again! Primary Use: Family transportation |
