Pros

LTZ trim, leather interior like a Tahoe, very plush and luxurious for a pickup. Great proportions with the body lines and oversized wheels. Built-in trailer hitch, active fuel management, power folding mirrors, auto-dimming rearview mirror with backup camera, locking tailgate, heated seats, dual climate control, both front seats are power, OnStar, Bose sound with integrated iPod control, and remote start.

Cons

Windows do not auto roll up with one touch, only down. Uses more gas than a sedan of course, but the trade off is comfortability and practicality to move just about anything you would want to. Averaging 19 mpg.

Black Envy — Fun to drive with plenty of power when you need it, engine seemlessly turns off four cylinders when you don't. Watching this happen on the dash indicator is cool because you instantly get a new mpg average. (17mpg instant econ V8) then (44mpg instant econ V4.) Stops very quickly, despite the 20" wheels making the truck sit up taller than my 2010 silverado did with the 17" wheels. This truck also has less road noise on the highway. Plenty of bells and whistles on this model makes this a very enjoyable daily driver, especially with the bluetooth and heated leather seats.

Great Truck But Really Quiet — DO not get the flexfuel it is so quiet and the 6.0 litter might eat gas but it is worth it. The interior is so nice with really nice wood details and the seats are nice. Dark and light cashmere is the interior to get black and sliver looks so bad.The Z71 package comes with some good rims and tires. And last but not least the color is so pretty and looks good in the sun it is imperial blue which is dark blue.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Love It — I like everything about this truck. My gas mileage is a lot worse since the tire upgrade and leveling kit has been installed. I would like to have the 6.2L though. But it does have plenty of power as it is.

Nice Ride Great Bang For The Buck — rides very well the 4.8v was pretty nice though everyone wants the 5.3 there is a 20 hp difference . the tranny is magic on these they will easily do 250000 or more if maintained the seats were pretty good for me and i am a petite 260 lbs . the roll up windows were the big delay for most who looked at the truck. The Smart guy who lives here in texas realized that he rolls his window down maybe once a day and the effort thoufgh tremendous was worth the 3000 in savings

Nice truck! Loved it!

Cons

Gas mileage wasn't so good but I don't think the lift and the tires and wheels were in my favor for that!

Sharp! — I loved this truck and really don't have anything negative to say about it other than the gas mileage was more than I was willing to fork out due to the commune from my house to work and to school to pick my kids up.

Pros

Seating capacity, stiffness of steering (nice tight steering), cabin noise level, back up sensors, ride comfort

Cons

Center fold down console (had a center console in 2000 model that opened sideways, much easier access), haven't figured out best driver seat location, sunroof pops open a bit on some take offs...

I Really Enjoy This Truck. — I really enjoy driving this bigger truck. I have a 2000 ext cab 1500 LS that I have driven for the past 11 years. What can I say but, night and day. The 2011 has all the comforts I have wanted and more. The steering is nice and tight compared to my other truck which was more l I keep a car in comparison. Love my new used truck.

Big A$$ Truck — POWEERRR!!! Bought this truck as a "used" demo (had 3K miles on it) - it's sweet! I got an amazing price (Parkway Chevy in Tomball TX) - the only drawback is the mileage - and the insurance. BUT, if you're gonna drive in Houston it's the only way to survive!
