Available only in a five-door hatchback version, the 2010 Subaru Impreza Outback Sport integrates the Outback concept into a more affordable package without compromising versatility or economy. Equipped similarly to the 2.5i trim level, the Outback Sport also boasts 17-inch alloy wheels, heated front seats, wheel-mounted audio and cruise controls, and a 6-CD changer with ten speakers. Optional for the Outback Sport are upgrades in audio entertainment, a Media Hub with audio streaming, and a sport chrome grille.

In addition to these appearance and performance perks, the Impreza 2.5GT offers 17-inch alloy wheels, heated front seats, power accessories all around, dual-zone climate control, and a 6-CD changer with 10 speakers. Options include the SPT catback exhaust package, remote start, and an upgraded audio package featuring a subwoofer and amplifier, as well as iPod integration and satellite radio. The 2010 Impreza 2.5GT Hatchback is powered by the standard 2.5-liter turbocharged flat four-cylinder engine that, along with its accompanying four-speed automatic transmission, gives it 224 hp and 226 lb-ft of torque. The EPA estimates 19/24 mpg with this combination.
