Thirsty But The Other Positives Heavily Outweigh This Main Negative — Its fast (a lot faster than it looks), refined, comfortable, has plenty of space, seems to do everything well, including using fuel! That in my opinion is the only big downside to this car, but then again how many 330hp cars are good on fuel? Dont believe the 29mpg it gives in the brochures, it needs a long run to get that not an even remotely heavy foot! If any other downers about it not quite as much feel to the steering as my golf mk5 edition 30 I had before this. Everything else about this car is excellent in my opinion. Build quality is great, 4wd is useful for me living in a rural area where 2wds with any amount of power struggle in snow etc. I bought this car having not had a test drive, and it exceeded my expectations! ProsIt's great for day to day driving and it looks great while doing it. If the exterior of the car doesn't impress you then the interior surely will. The interior cabin is quiet and comfortable and with the B&O sound system you will feel like you are sitting at home in your home theater as it does a great job of isolating you from road noise. It even makes sitting in traffic more enjoyable. Plenty of power to weave through traffic and fuel economy isn't terrible considering the amount of power that is available. My S4 has the Stassis ECU chip which gives it 410hp and 370 lb-ft of torque and I still average 20MPG in city driving. ConsMaintenance can be quite costly and the car itself is one of the most expensive in its class. But everyday when I step in the car to this day it still puts a smile on my face and to me that's worth the extra $$.

Expensive But Totally Worth It. — Overall I love this car because it is fun to drive and has great handling. The Quattro helps you plow through those days when there's over 4 inches of snow on the ground without even breaking a sweat. I've looked at a lot of luxury sports compacts before settling on this one and the thing that really sets this car apart is the build quality of the interior. Japanese cars had an interior that felt cheap, BMW's interior was dated, and Mercedes interior and exterior styling was just bland. Primary Use: Commuting to work | ||

The Best Sport Sedan Yet — This sport sedan has the performance of a V8, but the fuel economy of a V6. The interior quality is a lot better than what competitors offer (BMW 3 Series and MB C Class). I find the navigation very easy to follow than everything else I have tried, because it is in 3D. I wish it can be louder when I floor it. BMW offers free maintenance, e.g. brake pads replacement is free of charge. Audi charges $1,500 for brake pads. What a shame. Primary Use: Commuting to work | ||

Great Family Car !. — S4 is a wonderful everyday driving car. Its wonderful in the snow with its 4x4 system, even better with the winter tires. Its fast enough to have fun but too heavy for sport driving in the mountains or racing at the track. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) | ||
