If Safety Is Your First Priority... This Is Your Vehicle! — With sharp lines and a now classic body style, the heavy XC90 makes a fine appearance in any driveway. The exterior lines are clean and smooth. The vehicle is made with Volvo's attention to safety and the driver and front seat passenger will be very comfortable having a commanding view of the road. Things deteriorate rapidly however for the rear seat passengers in terms of comfort and doisappear all together for the third row passengers who have to be either very small children (not particularly safe) or lower limb amputees such is the aucity of leg room. If you have any propensity towards claustrophobia you will NOT be able to ride in the middle or rear seats. They are simply too confining. As for appointemnts, the Volvo disappoints here entirely. At this price point only the very most expensive models will come with what is now very stabndard equipment in higher end vehicles such as a back up camera and heated seating. Bottom Line: great for two + two kids because its safe.

ProsGreat SUV. Lots of room to carry groceries, boxes and even furniture. I love the way the tailgate lowers and I love the gorcery barrier and hooks. Carries five people comfortably, children in the third row only. Very comfortable for long road trips, just plug in my IPod and off we go. ConsAccelerator and brakes are a little touchy, but apparently that is indicative of european cars. I did have to get new brakes after only 20,000 miles. My only real disappointment is the visors. They are okay in the forward position, but when you move them to the side, they are useless. I was very diasappointed that there was no real thought behind this part of the car. Of course I would love better gas mileage - but it is an SUV after all.

Still Love This Car After Three Years! — Car is still going strong. I have had it for three years now. There have been some minor glitches - the ignition locked up on me, AM radio went out and seat adjustment become sporadic. All were still under warranty so no problem getting them fixed. Otherwise it runs great and I am still very happy with my Volvo. Primary Use: Commuting to work | ||

Xc90 — Wonderfull SUV. Driving pleasure 100%. Design from Sweden: keep it simple but beautifull. Geartronic is the must. Power on the 2,4L diesel engine can be uploaded to 225hp/460 NM with easy to install software. Cheaper as ML and Q7. Safety and comfort above all!!!! Don't think, just buy it!!! |
