2009 Pontiac G6 Base Trim Overview

The Base G6 is an anomaly of old and new tech, with an array of very impressive standard features and some curious carryovers. The 164-hp, 2.4-liter inline four is mated to a measly 4-speed automatic transmission, yet traction control is standard. Likewise, antilock four-wheel disc brakes, OnStar with one year of service, power windows, mirrors, and locks, as well as a CD/MP3, satellite-ready stereo are all included, features not usually found on an entry-level trim. Buyers are also treated to air conditioning, a tilt and telescoping steering wheel, reclining front bucket seats with driver's seat power height adjustment, a center console, a split-folding rear seat, tachometer, variable intermittent wipers, and a rear defogger.

Safety features are similarly abundant, with automatic headlights, a theft-deterrent system, dual front airbags, front side airbags, curtain side airbags, and daytime running lights.
