Why Put So Much Effort Into Practicality Inside....then Forget The Engine?? — I bought this car for the promised fuel economy..... all lies!!!!. After asking what to expect to get out of it i was told around 500 k's per tank of fuel easily around town and even better on the highway and it should get close to what it says on the tag in the window which is 9.2ltrs per 100k's. This is part of the reason I bought it. I thought that sounded excellent as I had a large 4.0ltr vehicle that was consuming between 13-15 ltrs per 100k's, and was an 11 year old ford falcon. The best I can get out of this....thing is 12.8ltrs if I am lucky. It may get just over 400k's to a tank of fuel. It is completely gutless and geared beyond strange. It seems to make the engine rev it's hardest, then jerks into the next gear which does the same again til you hit 4th then the trans lets the engine have a breather. I don't understand the gearing in this car, it seems to need a 5th gear in the transmission and a re-work of all the ratios to make it work better. The engine would be best suited to a smaller vehicle and have at least a 2.2 litre 4 cylinder put into it. If you want an economical car DO NOT buy one of these. Everything else about the car is great. I have the all black interior which gets rid of the budget feel. The instrumentation is set up well, and everything is well in reach. The audio sounds good, and the way the seats fold down is brilliant. They are about half way to a good car. Hyundai: PLEASE SORT YOUR RUNNING GEAR OUT! cos it is completely mis-matched to this car. It is unsatisfactory and will give a bad name if something is not done. I have had this car for about 3 months and if I could get my money back, I would. I would not recommend this car.

Good Suv — this car is very fun to drive, and so far the gas mileage is adequate, the interior is very nice, especially the heated seats upfront, this my second hyundai, both are very comfortable.The acceleration is very responsive, and has a lot of get up an go, especially when you take off against a 1/2 ton dodge. Functional And Good For A Familiar (mother's) Car — Performance - Excelent acceleration, brakes are less than regula, very responsive car. Build quality - the side fenders are so fragiles. i already change 2 fenders appearance - interior is very nice. everything its functional, exterior its other thing the whole car looks so girly (mommie's) car Primary Use: Family transportation |
