ProsBought it brand new for less than $22,000 and has leatherette interior, moonroof, power everything, heated mirrors/seats, 10 speaker stereo w/6 disc cd changer/sirius satellite, etc. In other words, extremely well equipped. You can't get anything with the options mine has for this price. ConsCould be faster. Anything could always be faster though. Not that big of a deal.

2008 Vw Jetta 2.5 5 Cylinder, 5 Speed Manual Trans. — The Jetta is a good all around car. The 5 cylinder version(170 hp, 177 lbs-ft torque) while not being the fastest car in the world still is peppy, has more than enough power to get out of its own way, and drinks gas like a 4 cylinder. The handling in terms of steering, cornering, braking, etc. is as any German car should be. Absolutely no complaints here. It is incredibly solid also and definitely out classes all of the rivals in this category in terms of overall build quality. I looked at many cars in this price range and the VW by far was most impressive for this and many other reasons. Overall, the Jetta is very good as a daily driver/commuter. It's fun to drive (especially with the manual transmission), excellent on gas, and so far very reliable. At this point I've owned it for over 2 and a half years and put 38,000 miles on it with no problems. Primary Use: Commuting to work

Great All Rounder — Great value for money, performance is moderate, comfortable and great build quality. Service costs are a bit high but it is German so that is expected. Great all rounder car. Sporty fun and comfortable. Volkswagen is a great company and would tell everyone to go check out any of their products! I Love It. — Services are so far apart! One of the most fuel economic cars on the market- They set a guinness world record with it. The styling is great its gorgeous to look at but not showy or over the top. Very reliable and most of all safe- one of the safest on the market in that category. Primary Use: Commuting to work | ||

Great Fun For A Great Price. — I love the car, Performance wise its by no stretch a sports car but with a few mods it can be alot of fun, brakes on the car are great and it handles like a car that cost three times as much. Build quality rivals that of more expensive cars and blows honda, toyota, nissan, dodge, ford, and chevy out of the water. I like the way the car looks it has nice lines and a great front end. Cost wise if you do your own oil changes its ok, can be a little expensive at times. Overall this is a fun car to drive and though its not a sports car it has no problem keeping up with most V6s and a few others. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) | ||

Good Car. — A German car that is designed for the Autobahn. Handles very well too. Good quality parts, and good material make a solid structured car. Wonderful Car Spoiled Completely By A Very Unfortunate Driving Position. — It's a very good car, fast, stable, economical, good looking, BUT the driving position SUCKS, I just find it impossible to feel really comfortable because probably they built this car for an average driver that is shorter than me. The steering wheel is to high, does not extend enough towards the driver, and it should be more vertical. The foot rest next to the clutch is too close, it is uncomfortable especially on highway driving. Primary Use: Commuting to work | ||

Amazing Car. — This car is absolutely amazing. It is a great and fun car to drive as an everyday driver, or even for the racing scene it is a great car. Handles nicely and can be customized in many different ways. The cost is descent too, its only around 18k. Good price for a brand new car. The interior of the car is just as amazing as the exterior of the car. Its sleek clean just good quality German engineering. Only downside is that i don't have enough money to fully deck it out the way i want it yet. | ||

Decent Car, Great Ride. — All things considered this is a decent car. It has plenty of room on the inside for a road trip, and it is one of the most comfortable cars I've driven on long trips (6 hours or more) which I take plenty of. Highway performance drops off, and dont expect much from your upper RPM's. I'd reccommend getting a larger rim package too, which will help smooth out the ride, as it can be a bit rough at times. The car is also prone to being blown about a bit by the wind at highway speeds too. After driving the Wolfsberg edition, it became clear that I should of gotten that... |
