2008 Suzuki Reno Trims and Specs

This front-wheel-drive compact hatch comes well-equipped for its price. The 2008 Suzuki Reno Base features power windows, locks, and heated mirrors, front and rear intermittent wipers, a tachometer, two 12-volt power outlets, power and tilt steering, and a 4-speaker CD sound system that comes with an MP3 input jack. Rear seats split-fold 60/40, and front seat height is manually adjustable. The cargo space starts out at 8.8 cubic feet, but opens up to 45 with the rear seats down. A cargo cover is standard, as is a roof rack. There are more storage compartments in the doors and under the floor.

Riding on the Forenza's Macpherson strut front and multilink rear suspension, the 2008 Reno Base also shares the 2.7-liter DOHC inline four that delivers 127 hp and 131 ft-lbs of torque at 4,200 RPM. It is matched to either a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic. Four-star safety features include dual front-side airbags, passenger airbag deactivation, 4-wheel disc brakes, a tire monitor for the 15-inch steel wheels with all-season tires, and halogen lamps. Options add the Convenience Package (wheel-mounted cruise and audio controls, remote entry, leather trim, and an alarm), as well as a dealer-installed rear spoiler and Bluetooth.

The roomy 2008 Suzuki Reno Convenience front-wheel-drive hatch seats four, with 42 inches of front legroom and nearly 37 inches of rear legroom. With stadium-style seating, the interior feels more spacious to passengers due to increased visibility. Seats fold 60/40 onto an 8.8-cubic-foot trunk. With the seats down, the trunk holds 45 cubic feet, and a standard roof rack expands storage options. A cargo cover is also included.

The 2008 Reno Convenience adds more storage compartments under the front seats, plus standard remote entry, a security system, leather steering-wheel and shifter trim, and wheel-mounted cruise and audio controls for the CD/MP3 player. Other equipment includes full power features, heated mirrors, intermittent front and rear wipers, a tachometer, four cupholders, an MP3 input jack, and two front 12-volt power outlets. Under the hood is a 127-hp, 16-valve 2.0-liter DOHC inline four with 131 ft-lbs of torque. Fuel economy disappoints at 20/28.

Dual front-side airbags with passenger deactivation, 15-inch wheels with all-season tires, a tire monitor, halogen lamps and daytime running lights, and 4-wheel disc brakes are all standard. You have to pay extra for ABS brakes, a rear spoiler, and Bluetooth connectivity.
