2008 Nissan 350Z Enthusiast Review
ProsThis car does almost everything well. It is quick handling, powerful, and very easy to drive. It is economical and amazingly practical for such a small car. ConsInterior noise is noticeable, even at moderate speeds. The rear brakes are prone to fade under repeated hard (i.e. track) use, but are fine for normal driving.

Fun, Fun, Fun! — This is my 3rd Z dating back to a 1979 280 ZX and a 1990 300 ZX. It is the natural evolution of its predecessors, but unique in its own way too. It retains fabulous Nissan reliability and maintainability with even fewer faults and foibles than the older models. It is one of the most fun cars to hop into and drive off to the beach--or the supermarket. It is as at home on the highway as it is on track day. The addition of a high-quality aftermarket sound system corrected the only significant shortcoming I noticed on buying it. That also helps to offset the noticeable road noise. This car was a huge bargain! I do not know of another car with a better grin for the buck value than the 350Z--except maybe the 370Z! Primary Use: Commuting to work

ProsPerformance, price, actually comfortable for those of us in the 6' + crowd, cool exhaust sound without spending money on an aftermarket set-up. ConsFront grill could use a bit of a tweak. Owners have reported a FEW problems, but not many.

Holy Crap — I was at the Nissan dealership picking something up, and just looking at these, and the guy asked me if I wanted to test drive it. I said sure, and I'm sure glad I did. Holy crap. 306 hp, light as a feather (well, almost). I was never more unhappy in my own car until after I drove this. Heh.

I Enjoy It. Its Fun — its quick, and nimble. car gets up and goes, doesnt like to be driven lightly. its a fun car to drive indeed, just sucks for everyday driving very bumpy. and its about 60 bucks a week to fill up, and 40 bucks every 3k miles for gas. the catch is the tires cost about 650 a piece to replace. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Smokin Looks But Not Speed — nice styling amazing handling just slightly low on power. i have had no issues with it and has definately taken its share of my abuse. everything works smoothly and could not ask for much more. I feel that forced induction would place this car into beast status and be what the experience should have been directly from the factory Primary Use: Commuting to work

Amazing Z, But Not For Everyone — One of the best cars ever built, but not for everyone. The aftermarket support for the HR motor is not nearly as big as the support for the DE. Twin turbo set-ups are amazing if you can afford them. Driving this car really turns heads. Surly to get stares where ever you go. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

An Awesome Machine That Is Not That Out Of Reach For Those Who Enjoy Performance — The build quality is very good, although could be a little better. The performance is an outstanding amount to start off with and you can always upgrade parts. Being a Japanese make means the maintenance isnt that high at all. In short, bags of fun for half the price of its competitors. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)
