Great For The Budget Minded Driver Who Still Wants Some Kick To The Morning Commute! — I love everything about this car, especially its fuel efficiency while still being very peppy and sporty! It's got huge potential for modding, even though it requires $$ to do it. There are many out there who think it can't be done/that it's not designed that way, but they are very wrong!

What I Said In The Other Section — I like the car it's been Great.Lot's of possiative reviews. It's been highest ranked compact car in Initial quality by JD Power Associates. (Glad I did my Reseach) I don't like the performance but it does get you where you got to go.I must say it's not bad passing but off the line it sucks!!!28 mpg easy.Exterior looks good I keep it clean but it does scratch very easy. Interior is awesome especially at night it's all blue headlights work better then any other car i had. Other then regular maintance I have not put a dime in the car. Had some problems when I first got it but turned out to be a recall later in the year so it was not the car it self. The car is fun to drive very confortable interior seats I get alot of comments .The front and rear seats are good for long periods of riding. Kick A** heat and a/c will kick you out the car.

Great Car - Had It For Over A Year And It's Great — Great price for all the features, 100% redesigned from 2006 and bigger. Consumer Reports said it beat the Corolla and all down the ratings are Best for 2007 and 2008. Gets great gas mileage. Decent acceleration, great reliability, brakes are tight after 1 year and lots of room.

A Great Buy — Well built car, handles nice, great on gas, could use a bit more leg room inside. The exterior design of the car is nice and the interior dash lightning is eye catching and very futuristic looking. You should definitely get the sunroof though.

I Love It — THis is my 2nd Hyundai and I love em!!! They get great gas mileage and you can't beat the warranty. I think my car looks good and handles very well. I have a standard transmission and it shifts well. It could use more power but oh well

A Better Elantra...now Waiting For An Even Better One. — The 2007+ Elantra is a lot better than the previous Elantra model. Although this is still not a car that I believe comes even close to that of a Mazda 3. To drive the engine this time around seems to have better performance than last time. The only thing worse from last time is the power steering, its boosted nearly to the levels of the 2009 Corolla. The brake pedal is too sensitive, certain cars stop abruptly which is very annoying and uncomfortable. The interior is more high quality than last time and is put together a lot better. The only problem with this interior is its still bland like last time. I haven't found any reliability issue with this car which is surprisingly since the Accents have quite a few. Its reasonably fuel efficient and inexpensive to buy. The styling I give low marks, not because it looks terrible but its a rip off of a Toyota Corolla. I consider that unacceptable. Overall the car is rather average, not that great to drive but alright on the inside.

I Hate This Car — UUGGHH, I hate this car. I feel like im driving a clown car. I hit my head on the ceiling all the time, i bang my elbows all around since there's no elbow room. The horn sounds like a mouse being shocked (it may well be, since i think under the hood is a hamster wheel) and lastly its no fun what-so-ever to drive. one positive is i dont have to feed the mice all the time.

Car died the first day of ownership; in the shop for the next 12+ days!

2008 Hyundai Elantra Poses Serious Danger — I had my brand-new Elantra for about 26 hours (I drove it 100 miles since I bought it), when it malfunctioned and died in the middle of an intersection. I tried to have it towed, but HRA was a total failure. They could not get a tow truck until the next day. I was able to re-start the car and have my husband drive it to the nearest dealer to repair it. We are now at DAY 10 of the brand-new car being in the shop. They don't foresee having it fixed until DAY 12, which is 7/21 (I bought my car on 7/8/08). In the course of these 12 days being in the shop, the car was hooked up to the computer ONLY ONE TIME that I know of. That process returned an "error code" which stated there was a misfire on cylinder 1. The dealer has then only driven my car to try replicating the problem, and checked wires & cables to make sure "they weren't loose". Meanwhile, they have put 300 miles on my car! They now say that the regional office told them to replace the fuel pump on the car. The dealer had already told me that there was nothing wrong with the fuel pump (I asked them if the fuel pump could be the problem). I don't understand why they are replacing the fuel pump now when they said it "tested" OK? This car poses a serious safety issue. My 26-hour old Elantra with about 125 miles on it lost all power and died in the middle of an intersection during a simple left-hand turn. This happened during the first 24 hours I owned the car. This car purchase was a complete mistake.

2008 Hyundai Elantra Se — I was very weary about this purchase. We got the 2008 Elantra SE in Carbon Gray. After driving it and getting used to the features, I am surprised to say I love the car. It is very user friendly, the pickup is pretty good for a car that size, and although there were a few cheap plastics, the car is built well. The Elantra gets great gas mileage and engine maintenance is easy with a spread out engine bay. While I may not like the exterior apprearance that much, but it will do. Certainly consider the Elantra if you are purchasing a small car by the end of 2008.
