Pros

This is a great road trip vehicle.  My wife loved our F150 so much for traveling we always took that instead of her Cadillac.  The F250 is better still.  More room than most will ever need and great handling no matter what the weather or road conditions.

Cons

Fuel mileage isn't good but if careful and not too aggressive with the power pedal reasonable for a truck this size.  Keep in mind this is a very heavy brick aerodynamically speaking.  It is not a vehicle for someone wanting to save on fuel costs.  I've gotten 19 hwy by not using cruise control and keeping in the 60-65 MPH range.  That of course is under best of conditions. Most owner of this type of vehicle are not expecting excellent mileage.   A programer may help this but I don't like messing with stuff I don't know anything about.   The GPS option is an expensive add that I possibly will fore-go on my next vehicle as it requires periodic map updating through Ford and that isn't reasonably priced in my opinion.  I do like that I don't have to remove a GPS unit from the dash and hide it every time I leave the truck somewhere though.  Guess that's a trade off.

The Best Truck I've Owned — Performance with the sequential turbos is awesome. Won't beat a gas truck but all just raw power. Ride comfort is way above expectations for any truck. Build quality is I believe above most other vehicles IMO. The appearance inside and out beats the competition across the finish line in every case. Compare the top three trucks in the market and I believe first looks prior to test driving will go to Ford. After the test drive you'll be sold and after driving this truck for 4 years, I think it will be hard to find another vehicle to measure up to the ride comfort and utilitarian benefit of this truck.

Great diesel performance, great looking, big

Cons

big, better mileage would be nice

Big Bad Ass Truck — Great truck, horrible mileage and the price of diesel is astronomical right now. I'd recommend getting a Bully Dog programmer. After the simple installation the mileage has vastly improved and acceleration is phenomenal! For weighing 7800 lbs. it really gets up and moves. And of course this is the best looking super duty truck as well as being the most luxurious. No complaints

2008 Super Duty — The 2008 Ford F-250 Super Duty boasts 350 horsepower and 650ft-lbs of torque with the 6.4 liter Powerstroke Diesel Engine. This monster is quick in acceleration and has the best towing in its class. The box-shaped appearance gives it a bold, agressive look. Its off-road abilities are great. In other words.....GET YOU ONE!!

Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

Looks like a truck instead of a car (dodge?)

Cons

The exhaust, the computer, the mileage

2008 6.4l Diesel — The truck is awesome in looks and driveability. The new exhaust with DPF, The computer that controls it and the fuel mileage all stink. It's like anything else that isn't broken but gets fixed, it goes right in the toilet. So keep the college grad technical freaks away from things that have worked forever without their input.

This Truck Is A Beast! — This truck is awesome! 6.8 liter V-10 tows anything, all leather, power folding and extending mirrors, power sliding back window, manual or automatic four wheel drive, heated seats, all power seats, windows and door locks, tons of interior space, 6 disc changer, fold out platforms under the back seats, extra power outlets in the back and in the center console, tons of storage space in the doors and dash, huge cupholders

Pros

The grill guard rocks!! It scares the crap out of morons in little Hondas who try to cut me off when I'm driving it. My dad loves his truck. =]

Cons

It's too plain. It's pretty cheap. It doesn't have a CD player, it doesn't have back speakers, and the front basic lights are very cheap looking.

It Is Big.......very Very Big..... — Overall, for the price my dad paid for it, it ain't a bad truck. His friends drool over that thing(especially the grill-guard). However, I don't particularly enjoying driving this truck due to poor acceleration, and difficulty to maneuver, but then again, what do you expect in a big truck?

Love At First Sight! — Everything about this vehicle is amazing from the 6.4L OHV V8 Turbo-Diesel Power Stroke Engine to the Quad Captain's seats to the enormous trunk/covered bed. This truck has all the prerequisites of a cattleman's truck with the addition of luxury and comfort.

Parts Parts Parts — Good van, just needs a little more power, and better brakes, the service from ford in sa makes it a stupid buy though. Running cost in sa is very expensive, and it is fun to drive, great looks, one mean pick up

Its A Great Truck For Towing And Haulning Not Great On Fuel But If U Haul Stuff Its Great — it hauls very well looks real mean like it owns the road the motor in it is very durable i superchipped mine and it really brings out the turbo and torque its a little pricey especially with that diesel motor very very fun to drive
