Pros

Gas Mileage

Cons

Not enough horsepower

A Good Car For Gas Mileage — It's a really nice car, comfrotable to drive long distances. Love the satilite radio. Nice take off and really good on gas if you don't have a lead foot. My plan is to keep it till it falls apart so it'll be around for awhile.

2008 Chevrolet Cobalt LT2 Review

Pros

Reliability, good performance and acceleration, and a huge versatile trunk.

Cons

Trunk opening could be a little larger.  Rear brake rotors (instead of drums) should at least be an option on the LT2 model.

Great Reliable Performer! — I bought a used 2008 Cobalt LT2 with only 13,900 miles on it back in March of 2009 and I absolutely love it! Great acceleration, stops on a dime, and with the full-time all-speed traction control coming from the front wheels (standard on LT2 models), it makes evasive maneuvering a breeze. Plus the rear spoiler helps during windy conditions. Appearance- wise, this car is not a show car, as the cheap plastic interior and its plain exterior looks are self-explanatory. But that has never bothered me. Plus, with the huge hidden trunk as well as fold down rear seats add versatility to such a small car. Though the opening to the trunk could be a little larger in my opinion. Gas mileage is good, though it is no Honda Civic. The front ventilated rotors only needed to be adjusted once though as well as the rear drums needing to be cleaned. But other than that, just the usual oil change/tune-up. The cloth seats are comfortable for commuting, as they are not too plush, yet not too firm. I would highly recommend getting the LT2 model or higher as anything below that lacks a load of comfort and convenience features. Fun Factor - This car IS FUN TO DRIVE! Great for a long commute as well as in the city. The acceleration is also good with its 2.2 Liter engine and, it also hugs turns quite well on winding roads. All in all, I would highly recommend this car to anyone who's looking for a reliable everyday car with many different configurations to boot at a very affordable price.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Cons

everythings manual...but i cant complain

Cobalt — I havent found much that I dont like about this car. The only thing is that it is completely manual. The locks, windows, everything in the car is manual. Besides that there isnt really anything I have found that I dont like yet.

I Like The Car. — well this car has nice interior and comfortable on the highway roadtrip. the acceleration is nice for a stock sedan. it cost around 15 grand new. this is a nice car to drive around everywhere. so this car is a nice car to start out with as a new driver.

Pros

great on gas  pretty quick for base modle always relieable and goes good in snow

Cons

umm i guess the grey interior and how they dont have many after market performance parts out for it yet

2008 Cobalt Ss Clone — It is an ls with stock 150 hp but has new glass pack, cold air intake, and 2 computer chips making around 190 when turned up. goes very good, and is 5 speed, it looks good, and is relieable. i hate the grey interior but will live with it. 5.3 liters to 100 km on highway. it gets 800 km to a 45$ tank of gas if im not givin it all the time. It is a very fun car to drive and sounds good

36 miles per gallon on highway, 30 mpg city

Cons

crappy rotors and brake pads

2008 Chevy Cobalt Lt Sedan 4dr — I bought it used with 29,110 miles in May 2009 and currently have 33,300 miles on it. After having it for about a month the rotors rusted and the brakes built up with junk so I had to have 2 rotors replaced and a brake pad replaced. At 32,500 when getting an oil change the air filter needed to be replaced and ever since the car performance has only gotten better. Whatever you do don't get the LS model, get the LT like I have because LS doesn't have cruise, power locks, car alarm, and plus the spoiler helps a lot when its windy out.

had electric wiring problems at first, got them fixed though

It Works For Me And I Love It — Acceleration is what I want with the manual transmission, build quality is pretty good, a few plastic parts make it less appealing to some but it doesn't bother me, gets great gas mileage (I can average around 38 easily). Lots of fun to drive, but that might not be the car so much as my personality.
