Pros

Great car with plenty of HP

Cons

Fuel economy could be better than 22mpg in the city

Sleek And Dark — Love the body of the Cobalt, nice and dark paint with smoked windows. Hub caps could have been make better. They tend to pop and creek when it's moving slowly in the residential areas. But all in all, it's a great car.

Pros

Reliability, good performance and acceleration, and a huge versatile trunk.

Cons

Trunk opening could be a little larger.  Rear brake rotors (instead of drums) should at least be an option on the LT2 model.

Great Reliable Performer! — I bought a used 2008 Cobalt LT2 with only 13,900 miles on it back in March of 2009 and I absolutely love it! Great acceleration, stops on a dime, and with the full-time all-speed traction control coming from the front wheels (standard on LT2 models), it makes evasive maneuvering a breeze. Plus the rear spoiler helps during windy conditions. Appearance- wise, this car is not a show car, as the cheap plastic interior and its plain exterior looks are self-explanatory. But that has never bothered me. Plus, with the huge hidden trunk as well as fold down rear seats add versatility to such a small car. Though the opening to the trunk could be a little larger in my opinion. Gas mileage is good, though it is no Honda Civic. The front ventilated rotors only needed to be adjusted once though as well as the rear drums needing to be cleaned. But other than that, just the usual oil change/tune-up. The cloth seats are comfortable for commuting, as they are not too plush, yet not too firm. I would highly recommend getting the LT2 model or higher as anything below that lacks a load of comfort and convenience features. Fun Factor - This car IS FUN TO DRIVE! Great for a long commute as well as in the city. The acceleration is also good with its 2.2 Liter engine and, it also hugs turns quite well on winding roads. All in all, I would highly recommend this car to anyone who's looking for a reliable everyday car with many different configurations to boot at a very affordable price.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros

Starts in any sub zero weather...ALWAYS...handles great at high speeds, I love this car.  One of the best I've ever owned.  Low maintenance, sexy.   I wouldn't be selling it if it weren't for my 130lb pup!  Great on gas!

Cons

No sunroof, back seat not big enough for a small elephant.  (Madison, my dog).  Doesn't have great pick up speed, but is great once it gets going.  The earlier models have a well deserved bad rap, but this was not one of the recalled models...Chevy should work on getting their formerly good reputation back.  This model helps.

Loved This Car — Not big enough for my "family" of two large dogs. That is really it. I guess since they want at least 19 more words, the pick up could use a bit of improvement. I like speed and to get to a high rate quick...this is great, just takes awhile to get there. Fun to Drive. Feel totally safe and secure. Tight control...I love standards so that, to me, is a plus as well.

Good A To B Car. Very Reliable. — Great A to B car, has been very reliable. Some of the chrome on the inside is chipping and isn't a very flashy ride. Front Speakers stopped working in 2012 but after replacing seems fine. Gets very good gas mileage.

Fun And Econimical — Handles like a sports car. Lots of nice features like power everything. Sips fuel so you don't stop all the time for gas. It does ride like a small car but that is to be expected. Great two passenger or with two small to medium size kids.

Pros

Overall my car is great to me. I've had since i was 16 and its got me through everything

Cons

I wish the car had more power to it and that I could modify it better

Irreplacable — The look of the car is great and it very comfortable. My car is very quiet since i bought it brand new. This car is great because it rarely ever need to go to the garage and it was only for check ups and ordinary things. Another thing to love about this car is that the gas mileage is outstanding. For how small the engine is in the car the acceleration picks up fast. The braking and handling are very good. This car is very enjoyable to have especially for crusing around.

Cant Wait For My Next One — It is not the car for me. I am way to tall. It might be the car for some people. The radio does get pretty roudy that is about it. Nothing else to say about the chevy cobalt four door.

Great Car For Small Family. — This car can get up and go! it is fun to drive, comfortable, stylish and affordable! I've had it for three years and it's never given me any problems!! Car is easy to drive and I always felt in control. It will stop on a dime which has saved me a few times from hwy traffic.

To Be Or Not To Be — could be better, has great grip, tires and rims are lighter than stock, still needs to loose some weight. with my upgrades i can keep up with a ss, all it needs is a turbo and a better clutch. not sure if i want to keep it

Cobalt Lt - Amazing Car For Sure — This car is the greatest thing ever to happen to me. I purchased this car after my old car kinda quit on me. I found this car on a Sunday browsing dealerships. It was a brand new 08 LT1 with cruise control and a few other options such as the rear spoiler. Too bad it didn't come with remote start or a sun roof. I debated between it and a dark red one at Johnny Londoff Chevy that had a body kit and exhaust on it. Even though the one with the body kit looked a bit cooler, I chose the silver LT. After my parents traded in their work van, the LT cost a little over 12 grand. I'm paying almost $208 a month for it. I got 0% financing for 60 months. I brought the car home on June 18, 2008. I absoultely love this car. Its very fun to drive and very nimble. For the 2.2, its a fast accerator and good at turns as well. Turning radius is awesome - I can turn it around on my driveway, which is a 3 car driveway. I plan on having a lot done to it, such as exhaust and intake.. and a LOT more. The gas milage too is awesome.. between 25 and 35. I would reccomend a Cobalt to anyone looking for a small car.
