2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser 4X4 Review
ProsSuperior quality. Most capable 4X4 I've owned; although the Jeep TJ was smaller for tighter trails and the Chev S-10 took a lot of abuse and always looked good. Before I had a bike rack, my full suspension bike (not easy to take front wheel off) could fit in the back with the seats down. ConsThe 6-speed manual is nice to have, especially in snow and city/trail speeds, but on the highway it's geared too low. Shifting to 6th at 60km/hr means that highway cruising at 120km/h gets the revs up and sucks the gas. Premium fuel only. Rear clamshell doors can be awkward in mall parking spaces. Stock rack is nice, but would be better if it was fulll length of roof.

Prosgreat bulid quality, distinctive looks, powerful, True step back to what a 4x4 actually is. Consblind spots, feels crosswinds on the highway, . comparable sized SUVS have better Fuel Milage ratings

Toyota Fj Cruiser Good At Everything — I love this vehicle it has done anything and everything I have asked of it. It is an SUV that is a Truck at heart not a mini van or a family seden. The 4x4 capability is great and it will comfortably tow the same loads as a small V8 half ton truck. Fuel miliage is ok fetching about 500km a tank (72L) on mixed driving. There is no mistaking this vehicle for any other it has a very unique look and draws a lott of attention. I took a chance buying a introductory model as it was possible that I would be running into recalls and problems that had not been seen before. This vehicle has been rock solid and with 30K on it the first year has not been in for anything more than the maintenance schedule.

07 Fj Cruiser — Just got it but everything is great so far. Handles well for an SUV, ride is smooth and less truck like than I expected. Power is impressive as well. A little on the expensive side for the amenities but then again it's the off-road gear and ruggedness that your paying for. I do have to say it's very enjoyable to drive, it just makes you feel cool lol. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Love It! — ok... where do i start...? Performance: acceleration was suprising for a 3.5 liter V6. braking was excelent.... it could stop on a dime in the middle of an ice storm. it handeled wonderfuly for having such a high center of gravity. Build Quality: It was built amazinging well. i met a guy who had one and he said that when he was having fun off road one day he went off a cliff at about 25 mph and 13 feet below him was the ground. when the FJ hit the ground... he simply just drove home. with the one i had... on Jan 21, '06, there was a bit of snow that had fallen... we were driving up a hill and a man in a ford ranger comes over the hill at a high rate of speed and plows into us because he had lost control due to the snow. when he hit us, his truck split in half and flew in different directions. lol there was almost no damage at all to our car. Appearance: atractive looking car. a good throw back look. the interior is rugged yet comfortable. Cost of Ownership: A bit of a gas guzzeler... low maintenance costs though. Fun Factor: Awesome to drive... really fun off road. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Fj Review — Very good car just a little hard to get a kid in and out of the back seat because of the half doors also it is good because we can put the dogs in the back and not worry about the hair because of the rubber mats and take them out and wash them Primary Use: Family transportation

Fj Cruiser — I love this car! its just big enough for an suv but not overly huge like a suburban. Gets good gas mileage from a 4.0 L v6 that gets close to 240 hp stock...The things definitely got power but it leaves me wanting more, thankfully there's tons of upgrades available! looks like a tank!!

ProsEasy to clean, Nice interior, great mileage ConsAll plastic inside, and looks like a dinosaur

Fj Maddness — I wanted an SUV and saw one of these pass by me and so i did some research and found out that FJ Cruisers are pretty economical on gas (15 gal tank) and they're meant for off-roading. I got some sort of special edition with leaver and plastic fake metal trim on the inside. I have yet to meet anyone with an interior like mine. I think this is One of the best SUVs to get that it out on the market today.

Fj Cruiser — i love the styling inside and out everything is watterproof including the seats there are some blind spot but you get used to it very quickly exellent acceleration and braking and good fuel milage for a 4x4 gets about 12-13 L/100km on daily driving. its a bit top heavy and wavy at high speed tops out at 178km/h and its a blast to drive

ProsPerfect for a couple. The cargo area with fold down rear seats, covers most needs. ConsSince my husband is tall, there is not a lot of room in the back seat for passengers. Rear passenger needs to wait for front passenger to unbuckle seat belt before opening the rear door.
