Pros

Awesome look! Sport attitude wtih Touring comfort.

Cons

Quick loss of valuebought new, mostly due to bad reviews only posted, hopefully good will also be posted. If well maintained the car does not provide any worry. Like anything you have to take care of your toys.

Great Looking Design Suv, Affordable Used, Discontinued Model Shame On Mazda. — I bought the car as the 3rd driver. It was certtified for 3 years so I paid some extra on it, was not cheap but when you want some warranty you buy new or with a certified plan. The gas mileage is not the best but was not the worse in this car segment. Maintaining the car was quiet easy and inexpensive with coupons from major dealers around my home. All in all definitly a good price vs cost of owning it, for a SUV of that size which is way bigger than Sportage KIA, CRV and Rav4, or even Rogue, but stays under Pathfinder, Highlander and CX-9 models. Kind of have its own segment actually. I would advise the CAR to a young family mostly for the cost of ownership, or a young worker who wants to enjoy Turbo acceleration, with of course moderation.

Pros

I think it looks great, despite being about 7 years old. One of the most up-to-date crossovers, and actually the inspiration for a lot of subsequent cars. Great handling, decent AWD, very reliable. Even with 100K miles, was working perfectly. Had zero mechanical problems ever. Suspension and steering are more sporty, which I like

Cons

Rear seat is tight, as is the trunk, but for me it worked fine. Gas mileage only fair.

Excellent, Reliable, Good-looking Crossover/suv — Loved this car, would definitely at least look at the new CX-5 or the CX-9 as a new car. Had never had a Mazda before, but every time I went to the dealer (only for routine maintenance, mind you), I would look at the rest of the lineup, and all of the cars seem to be built extremely well, great design and sporty. I would hands-down say they have at least perceived quality which seems to be higher than Nissan/Toyota/Honda. I loved the CX-7, only car I would swap this for would be a CX-9, Mazda 6, Jeep Grande Cherokee or a Discovery.

Ehh — This car was very different looking when it came out and had a very stylish interior. It did have a rough ride, and had turbo lag with poor economy. served its purpose, but probably not a keeper. had some cool tech though

Nice Car For The Wife — This car has served my family well. My wife enjoys driving it and it has a beautiful interior. The 4 cyl Turbo kicks in a little too much which spends a lot of gas. It really should have a six cylinder engine to give it the power it needs. I can't imagine towing anything heavy with it but it is definitely stylish and a looker.

Pros

Great pick-up, fun to drive.

Cons

Oil pan too small, overheats easily, especially in Texas, also, only takes premium because of the turbo, making it expensive to fill up

I Love Her, But Gas Prices Are Too High >< — Good car, quick and fun to drive, amazing turning radios. Sadly expensive because it has a turbo and can only take premium gas (it runs really badly if you put anything less, they did that once when it was being worked on...)

Not For People Who Wanna Save The Earth — Performance - acceleration, braking, handling = one of the best i have drive Build Quality - not much of a problem actually, could have been more spacious in the back Appearance - Interior could have placed a GPS in the asian model Cost of Ownership - depends how hard your foot is! Fun Factor - It looks Big and bulky like a MPV, but if it wanna go fast it can

Love the look and performance as well as price

Cons

alot of recalls and TSB issues so been to the shop too many times

I Probably Would Buy Something Else Gas Milage Also Stinks Only 18mpg And It Uses Only Super 93 — Too many problems must of been the first year stuff as so many issues at least we have a really good warranty on it now so it doesn't cost us anything when it does go in. Love the car but hate the issues

Sexy Exterior, Awesome Handling, Nice Sound System (only if u got that Bose), and good gas mileage

Mzr Turbo 2.3 requires 93 octane level gas (premium unleaded)

Mazda Cx-7 Review — This car is just plain fun driving! The acceleration is really good, handling is just perfect and braking is strong. As far as apperance goes, The exterior is really sexy and i love the chrome taillights and interior is pretty cool itself.. the bad thing about this car though is that it requires 93 octane level gas (premium unleaded) but other than that its an awesome car!

Fuel consumption, turbo lag

Truely Zoom, Zoom — Truely is Zoom, Zoom! Little bit of turbo lag, but truely an awesom handing vehicle for it's class and weight! Has not needed many repairs, only standard maintenance and a couple of recall items. Requires premium fuel because of the turbo, which hurt big time during the fuel price crunch, but the performance and quality is worth it.
