The Freestyle benefits efficiency wise from a continuously variable transmission: the EPA estimate for this front-wheel drive SUV is 20/27 mpg.

SEL AWD

Adding All-wheel drive will pull down fuel economy slightly, from 20/27 mpg to 19/24 mpg. Both drive trains include a continuously variable transmission. The SEL is the lower of two available trim levels, but comes considerably well-equipped. Standard features include a trip computer, an in-dash CD changer, power driver's seat, full power accessories, cruise control, heated mirrors and a leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio controls.
