Cons

could use a little more power

Good Suv To Run Around In — Great car for the wife and dogs to use small SUV but plenty of room. handles good, V6 needs a little more power. Seats fold down easy to open up the back for moving stuff. overall very nice little SUV to run around in. Seat warmers power button is in a poor location.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros

Rear seats fold down nicely -- I've been able to fit many items in, surprising friends and family :)  Very sturdy build -- accidentally hit a box of paint cans on the freeway doing about 70 mph and no damage anywhere... also like the 6-disk CD changer that came w/ mine.  Equipped with fog lights :)

Cons

Wish it would get better gas mileage... mine usually gets between 20-25.  Loses power going up steeper inclines (I live in Utah... lots of mountains in some places).    Wish back windows would not be child safety windows (they only roll down 1/2 way).  To have a hitch put on, I believe the whole back bumper system has to be switched out... rather expensive!

Do-able — This is a great vehicle for someone looking for a small SUV but doesn't care to spend a lot of money... Fairly quiet and smooth Spacious Handles about 4/5, acceleration 3/5, braking 5/5.

Good City Suv — Traded in my compact car for an SUV for more room, without going huge. Love that it's sporty, but roomy enough to do carpool duty or haul equipment. Small and maneuverable for crowded city driving. Good pick-up with the overdrive, still reasonable on gas mileage.

Incredible Vehicle! — I think the ford escape is one the of nicest sport utility vehicles in its category. I have owned for just over a year and have had no major issues with it. It is excellet on the highway and the fuel mileage is great.

It`s A Buy — I like everything about my escape, except that it does not have four wheel disc brakes, i had a flow master muffler installed and put in a K&N air filter and it really moves out now,it`s the bomb

Low cost SUV performance.

Cons

If you think you need a bigger SUV

Great Car For The Size And The Money! — Though not a full size SUV, the Escape has a lot of room. This car fills all of our needs quite well. The 4 cylinder engine is quite adequate, even on the hills of Pennsylvania. It handles well and brakes quite well. It has not needed any major repairs, I wish I had waited 1 year to buy though as the desogn changed in 2008. More interior room in the '08. Gas milage and mainenance is respectable. It is fun to drive especially in the Winter snow!

Pros

4WD, spacious, power driver seat, audiophile cd-6

Cons

no more 28mpg for me

Time To Escape — For the smaller end of the SUV class, the Escape is very roomy and has alot of storage space. 4WD is big plus for living in CT. The gas mileage is lower than previous car, but that was a given and it's still pretty good for its size.

Appliance For Worry Free Commuting. — Has no power whatsoever. Gets decent mileage. Seems high enough quality. Interior is well laid out and at least somewhat tolerable in aesthetics. Has had no problems to date. Good visibility. Larger inside than just about every other compact suv we looked at.

My Ford Escape — I was amazed with my ford escape, with the performance, gas milage. It is a fun car to drive not to big but not to small. this has alot of room for storage. I have a infant daughter and its great to tote the stroller. Very easy to get in and out of this vehicle.
