2007 Chrysler Town & Country Trims and Specs

The 2007 Chrysler Town & Country is carried over from the previous model year. As one of four available models, the Base offers a comparatively affordable entry point for this lineup of minivans. The top shelf Limited model costs $15,000 more.

The Base Town & Country is well-appointed for the price. Standard features include power windows and door locks, keyless entry, cruise control and a CD sound system with four speakers. Several options packages are offered, but the availability of add-ons increases with the trim level. Second row bucket seats may be added to replace the standard bench, and the "Stow 'N Go" folding seat setup may also be added. The base model is placed atop a shorter 113 inch wheelbase.

This model is powered by the smaller of two engine options: a 3.3 liter DOHC V-6, mated to a four speed automatic transmission. This power plant delivers 170 horsepower and 200 pound-feet of torque. The 3.3L-equipped models offer 19/26 mpg fuel economy and can tow 2000 pounds. The short wheelbase body provides 129 cubic feet of cargo space.

The LX is the second trim tier for Chrysler's Town & Country minivan. All variations return without change for 2007. The last significant updates came in 2001, and a full redesign is anticipated for 2008.

Upgrading to the LX will add heated power mirrors on top of standard base features like keyless entry, cruise control, power windows and door locks, air conditioning and a CD audio system. The LX also features Chrysler's "Stow 'N Go" flat-folding second and third row seats, and the base model's second row bench has been replaced by two captains chairs.

The Town & Country LX is the second of two models to receive its power from the smaller V-6 engine option. This 3.3 liter DOHC V-6 provides 170 horsepower and 200 pound-feet of torque, which is enough to haul 2000 pounds. All models use a four speed automatic transmission to send power to the front wheels.

The two lower Town & Country model, the base and LX, are similarly equipped. This third trim level is a significant step beyond the LX, with respect to both price and features. The Touring T&C receives dual power-sliding doors, a power rear liftgate, three-zone climate control, an upgraded sound system, a power driver's seat and alloy wheels. It costs nearly $7000 more than its base-trimmed kin.

The Touring is one of two models to use the 3.8 liter DOHC V-6 engine, which delivers 200 horsepower and 235 pound-feet of torque. All Town & Country models are equipped with a four speed automatic transmission. This more powerful variation can tow 3500 pounds.

For next year, Chrysler revise the seating configuration, adding a swiveling second row feature and an table insert between the second and third rows.

Four variations are available, and each gets its own unique trim finish. The Limited is the most upscale model, adding a wide variety of luxury and convenience items on top of an already substantial list of standard base features. Upgrades here include a premium Infinity sound system with an in-dash CD/DVD changer, a memory function for the driver's seat, three-zone automatic climate control and a navigation system. A rear seat DVD entertainment system is optional.

The Limited is powered by the larger of two V-6 engine options. A 3.8 liter V-6 provides 200 horsepower and 235 pound-feet of torque, and is mated to a four speed automatic transmission. This V-6 offers a towing capacity boost to 3500 pounds, with only a marginal reduction in fuel efficiency, now at 18/25 mpg.

The Limited is the most spacious Town & Country variation, with a total of 144 cubic feet of potential cargo space, with 32.5 cubic feet strictly for luggage.
