2007 Buick Terraza Trims and Specs

A minivan disguised in an SUV outfit, the 2007 Buick Terraza gets a new engine this year and loses all-wheel drive. The front-wheel drive SUV's base model is the CX, featuring a 3.9-liter, 240-hp V6 engine and 4-speed automatic. Manual is not offered. Three rows of seating fit seven passengers. The third row bench split-folds while the second row captain chairs also fold, and both can be removed.

Power locks and windows, air conditioning, keyless entry, cruise control, a trip computer, and even a DVD player are standard on the base model 2007 Terraza CX. A compass and temperature display are other nice features. There is one sliding door that is manual, though a power door is an add-on. Intermittent front and rear wipers, power heated mirrors, new OnStar with Turn-by-Turn and an MP3 jack are also included. For storage, there is a roof rack. Safety-wise, ABS, stability control, and traction control are standard, as are dual front and side airbags. Heated seats, remote start, power driver's seat, satellite radio, and the PhatNoise hard drive are popular options.

New this year is the 2007 Buick Terraza CX Plus, a sportier version of the minivan designed to make people forget about the suburban stigma attached to the popular family hauler. The CX Plus has the new 3.9-liter, 240-hp V6 engine eand 4-speed automatic standard across the Terraza lineup. But it also features a sports-tuned suspension and automatic self-leveling. Like the CX, all-wheel drive is not offered, but ABS brakes, dual front and side airbags, and traction and stability control are standard. Side impact bags are an option only.

Other features beyond what the CX offers are a 6-way power driver's seat and dual-zone climate control. New OnStar with navigation is standard this year, as is an MP3 compatible audio system and a rear seat DVD player. The 2007 Terraza CX Plus comes with all the power features, plus a trip computer, compass, tachometer, and cruise control. There are cupholders for all three rows of seats. Both second and third row fold or can be removed, though owners report difficulty removing the third row. A manual sliding door is standard, though there is a power option. Rear air conditioning, parking assist, remote start, and satellite radio are other add-ons.

The 2007 Buick Terraza CXL is a step up in luxury and convenience over the base CX and sporty CX Plus models. The 7-passenger minivan features the new 3.9-liter, 240-hp V6 and 4-speed auto tran. There is no manual transmission option. Sitting on 17-inch wheels, the 2007 Terraza CXL comes standard with ABS brakes, stability and traction control, a self-leveling suspension, and daytime running lights. Front and side airbags are standard, but you have to pay extra for side impact.

The 2007 Terraza CXL comes standard with many features that are options on the other trims, such as rear parking assist, 8-way power front seats with memory settings, and rear air conditioning. It also has dual sliding doors, one manual and one power. A navigation system is optional only on the CXL. Satellite radio, remote start, and PhatNoise are popular extras as well. Owners like all the feature, but have issues with the overall build quality of the 2007 Buick Terraza CXL.
