A fun sporty car with ample back seat and trunk room.  Its V6 3.3L engine climbs Colorado's mountain roads with ease.  Its appearance is striking.

Cons

Low Mileage Sporty Convertible — This Solara can serve a wide range of needs spanning sporty yet economical coupe to luxurious spacious cruiser. It has a comfortable ride, is fuel efficient, and has only 30000 miles under the hood. There are many exceptional features with this fine vehicle.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Great Mileage, power To Spare. Fun To Drive — It looks stylish w rakish lines, like a traffic stop waiting to happen. Rear of the car looks funky. Toyota made up for it under the hood 3.3 vvti engine coupled to a five speed automatic, sadly four cylinder are manual equipped, the five speed auto stick take some getting used to for manual drivers. Fun to drive. The sle v6 is the one you want.6way power seats leather is standard on sle convertible.the painted plastic parts are a real get ya downer, and some parts are ridiculously priced. (Windshield) 1600.00 dollars does it drive the car and make my bed?? Maint cost is low, mileage is great for v6 as long as you leave your lead foot at home. Couple blind spots typical in converts. Auto tinting mirrors are cool and nice at night for that yutz w the high beams behind you. Jbl audio is a real bummer. No built in amp. Eats discs after a couple years.auto heating and cooling, heated seats are a couple pluses. Anti lock is standard, steering crisp over correction can be a real threat at high speed. no real complaints Great car. I just felt like Barbie in it, not a cool feeling for a z owner.

8 Out Of 10 — 8 out of 10. Car rides good. Handling is acceptable. Cup Holders don't work too well. Should not have changed the design from the 1999 Camry. Conv't top boot is not well constructed. BTW, Is there a manual on how to properly fit the boot? I have the carbon fiber interior and it looks great.

Excellent Car — Rides like a luxury car but handles like a sports car. The Backseat headrest obstruct most of rear window view. Good gas mileage for a sport car (around 23). Botton line is both excellent and a fun car to drive.

Pros

About 75 degrees, at 75mph on the highway with the top down. Crank up the radio and enjoy the ride.

Cons

If it's been raining and you either open the door or roll down the window, water from the edge of the seam (where the retractable roof meets the windshield) drips onto your door armrest and/or thigh.

I Love Anything Topless... — It's fun, it's sporty, its family-ready. I don't know if I've ever seen a convertible with a back seat as large as the one in this car. Even my tallest friends seem to be comfortable riding in the 2nd row. Its got all the great safety features Toyota offers in their regular sedans including child seat anchors (for when the time comes). Trunk has plenty of room to hold two golf bags too. Love it.

Fun, High Performance Vehicle — My second Solara Convertible. Best convertible in mid-size category IMO. Interior passenger areas and trunk do not compromise space.
