Sunny Sunday Morning Pleasure! — I wanted a sports car that was affordable and gave me handling and performance of more expensive cars. This EVO did the trick. Love to drive it. Handles like a cart. And the 340HP provides thrilling hole shots coming off on ramps.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Four Wheel Slide. — Excellent car. Great in snow. Blast to drive. Lots of power for a 4 cly. Always enough room to transport people in. Even if your 6ft tall. Not too bad at the gas pump. Just a 14 gallon tank. Did I mention it was a blast to drive.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros

Super easy car to drive, but takes a while to get use to the amount of power / torque this car has.

Cons

Replacement fluids like the 6speed transmission is a dealer item only and can cost over $100, when it comes time for a fluid change.

Garage Queen — Great handling extremely easy on the wallet, as if you don't mash the gas pedal and spool the turbo, it will run like a regular 2.0l 4cylinder and return some pretty amazing gas mileage. The trunk, roof, and hood is aluminum and have to be careful not to allow anyone or thing to rest on top as it will dent and you will not be able to bend it back, as aluminum stretches when hit.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros

Great handling family hauler. Always been reliable and super easy to maintain. The car is a race from original design and everything from transmission to oil changes are a snap to do. VERY Roomy with lots of head room (I'm 6'4") and the reason I bought this car!! Lots of aftermarket support and forums to diagnose any known issues or modification questions you might have.
The car's electronics will save you if you get into a bad turn. Really well develop electronics from its WRC heritage and can't be beat.

Cons

Dealer network are horrible and I think is a reason why Mitsubishi does so poorly in this country. At beginning the police where unaware of the spoiler that came from the factory and cited tickets for it, although it was annoying it, I was able to win in court.

My Garage Queen — Excellent excellent. I would definitely buy again and recommend it to someone looking for a car that will not only get you to 60mph safely, but also stop to 0mph without the help of a tree. Your buddies will thank you because its a true four door sports car.

Pros

Performance - once you corner in an Evo, you can't do it in anything else

Cons

not much really except it's ability to attract cops' unwanted attention and ofcourse the high insurance

Best Handling Awd In Its Class — Got my bone-stock Evo 9 MR in June 2011 and took it immediately for 3 track-days in summer. This car is fast for any novice driver, so it's no wonder insurance rates are high. After learning for 2 years in the Prelude though, the upgrade was desirable and deserved. the car is an absolute hoot

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Cons

Stock Evo - Love. — The Evo is one of those cars that people just recognize as a fast car. The first time you get behind the wheel you realize the truth of this observation. Out of the gate, the 2006 Evo is an affordable car when compared to others of its class. (GTR, M3, etc) This car is easily moddable and cheap to do so. The MR edition comes with (the weaker) 6-speed manual transmission, Bilstein monotube shocks, split seven-spoke forged aluminum BBS wheels, aluminum roof, hood, and front fenders, gauge pack, HID headlights with integrated fog lights, vortex generator, front brake cooling ducts. My Evo is also the MR SE meaning it has the custom red stitching on the Recaro seats. Currently this car is stock all around except the JDM bumper and gauge/radio swap.

Mods — 2006 Mitsubishi Evolution Mighty Fast Tomei ARMS M7960 turbine the largest bolt-on turbo for the EVO, having the potential to make more than 400 hp 70mm (2.7-inch) Amuse exhaust that weighs just 4.5 kg (10 lbs). Most of the work was done by me and my cousin on days off from work took us about 2 months to finalize the job.

Iron grip AWD, neck snapping accelleration and handling of a car many times it vost.

Cons

Maintenence and upkeep.

Worth Every Monthly Payment, And I'm 4 Years In On It. — Absolutely beautiful handling and acceleration. I've passed a number of $100K+ cars on the racetracks in my area in a $35k car. Absolutely the best bang for the buck money can buy in performance cars. Maintenance is expensive and required often as it has 3 differentials and an AWD drive train.

Cons

If you're broke, theyre hard to afford.

If Its A Possibility, Get It-the Car Won't Disappoint. — Acceleration, is blistering, top speed is crazy, handles you super glued the tires to the road...The car is overall just amazing to drive and own, yet a very liveable 4 seater sedan that can pick up the kids if need be.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)
