Pros

Sporty performance, elegant design, and luxurious interior with its stylish exterior. Excellent high-speed stability with powerful V8 and the ride is firm and comfortable.  All boast extremely well-equipped and attractive interiors with leather upholstery, dual-zone climate control. Very reliable engine.

Cons

Tires are designed low. Nitrogen recommended.

Convertible Clk 500 - The Best Of Its Class Pure Luxury. — CLK is a luxury two-door you can drive hard without even realizing it. This car feels solid, like it's carved from one thick piece of rigid material. Extensive use of high-strength steel alloys of varying thickness in the cabriolet's unit-body panels and structure combine with liberal reinforcements of transmission tunnel, cross struts and rear bulkhead to add torsional stiffness and bending resistance and minimize vibration. All of this contributes to its precise handling and taut but comfortable ride quality. Garage Kept.

Pros

Very-powerful 300+ horsepower.  A real sleeper. Nice AMG accents and low profile Michelin tires and sharp alloy rims. Not bad fuel economy for a huge engine. Gorgeous cabriolet convertible rag top. Virtually maintenance free.  Nice 7-speed transmission is smooth and fast. .

Cons

None to speak of, other than maybe the back seats being too small, but hey I"m 6' 2". and I don't sit there.

Great Sports Car With Superb Handling — Overall, the best car I have ever owned. Very-powerful 300+ horsepower and the car reall moves! . A real sleeper. Nice AMG accents and low profile Michelin tires and sharp alloy rims. Not bad fuel economy for a huge engine. Gorgeous cabriolet convertible rag top. Virtually maintenance free. Nice 7-speed transmission is smooth and fast. . The 2-mode (cruise & sport) allow for easy change of transmission responsiveness at the press of a switch. If you are driving around with the family, set it to 'cruise mode" and when you want to get the most out of a true sports car, put it in 'sports or S mode' and the car just is so responsive. Also the transmission adapts to your driving style. Memory seats change to 3 different driver profiles at the touch of a button. No fiddling with switches after your wife has driven it and you need to hop in and go.

Miss Benz So Fly — Maintenance cost is expensive. She is a beautiful car. Sexy, sleek, and smooth. In return you get great performance for speed and power on the streets. You can drive at an amazing speed and still have full control of the car. It's small size can maneuver at a great angle.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Cons

Slow pick-up...

Love It, Love It, Love It! — Beautiful car... kinda quiet engine- slow on the pick up but gorgous sound system. I love the automatic 16 second convertible and its so quiet and sturdy. Love the German engineering! Can't complain about this car other than the fact that it could use a bit better response time.

Best Car I've Ever Owned — This car is awesome. It looks good, runs awesome and with 68000 miles, still runs like it did in 2005 when I purchased it. With the exception of scheduled maintenance and 2 sets of tires, this vehicle has been virtually indestructible.

Pros

notable perforance, aggressive exhaust note, lots and lots of grip, lack B-Pillar

Cons

so-so steering wheel, lack of paddle shifters, stereo could use more bass

Awesome Car — Fantastic! I love the comfort and the interior space. The harman/kardon sound system is fantastic. I have the MBZ Power Chips giving the engine more horses (its up to 297 at the rear wheels dyno-tested) which makes the performance wonderful (0-60 in 5.6). The exhaust note is also wonderful, a nice V6 snarl. Mine has the staggered wheels (the rear ones are wider than the front ones) which makes the handling uncompromised (lots of grip but that could also be due to the summer tires). Also the lack of the B-pillar makes the cabin very very airy! All of that = I ♥ THIS CAR!

Pros

A true sports coupe with a generous dose of luxury.  Quick, lively performer when you want it...civilized, comfortable easy drive when you want to chill.  Excellent, manageable proportions - big enough for four adults...small and quick enough to toss about, handle city traffic or park.  Strong power curve (with plenty of torque), taut suspension and precise steering.

Cons

Navigation not as intuitive as today's technology. While back seat has plenty of room once seated, ingress, egress can be ungainly.

A Terrific All-around Car — I've owned more than 30 cars over the years. To name a few - Audi, BMW, Datsun, Honda, Isuzu, Jaguar (XKE & XJ-S), Lancia, Lexus, MG, Nissan, Peugeot, Range Rover, Renault, Scion, Sterling, Toyota, Triumph, Rambler, Mercury (Comet and Grand Marquis), Ford (UM...Falcon, T-Bird, Explorer, F-150), Buick, Saturn a 1948 Plymouth and a few more I don't recall. Oh...this Mercedes-Benz CLK500 should be included. I thought for many years of owning the 1995 Lexus SC400, that it was the best car I had owned (for 14 years). Nope. As much as I loved that car, Lexus hasn't made anything special since and I have no brand loyalty going there. Since owning the Mercedes, I've only seriously considered M-B for my next car. Hmmm...

Awesome For The Money — V8 plus seven speed gearbox = lots of grunt. Quiet interior with no engine rumble. Build quality is high. Looks good in red. Electronics galore. Pretty okay gas mileage. Sunroof plus no window pillar gives wide open feeling to a coupe. Nice headlights too.
