Pros

notable perforance, aggressive exhaust note, lots and lots of grip, lack B-Pillar

Cons

so-so steering wheel, lack of paddle shifters, stereo could use more bass

Awesome Car — Fantastic! I love the comfort and the interior space. The harman/kardon sound system is fantastic. I have the MBZ Power Chips giving the engine more horses (its up to 297 at the rear wheels dyno-tested) which makes the performance wonderful (0-60 in 5.6). The exhaust note is also wonderful, a nice V6 snarl. Mine has the staggered wheels (the rear ones are wider than the front ones) which makes the handling uncompromised (lots of grip but that could also be due to the summer tires). Also the lack of the B-pillar makes the cabin very very airy! All of that = I ♥ THIS CAR!

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros

A true sports coupe with a generous dose of luxury.  Quick, lively performer when you want it...civilized, comfortable easy drive when you want to chill.  Excellent, manageable proportions - big enough for four adults...small and quick enough to toss about, handle city traffic or park.  Strong power curve (with plenty of torque), taut suspension and precise steering.

Cons

Navigation not as intuitive as today's technology. While back seat has plenty of room once seated, ingress, egress can be ungainly.

A Terrific All-around Car — I've owned more than 30 cars over the years. To name a few - Audi, BMW, Datsun, Honda, Isuzu, Jaguar (XKE & XJ-S), Lancia, Lexus, MG, Nissan, Peugeot, Range Rover, Renault, Scion, Sterling, Toyota, Triumph, Rambler, Mercury (Comet and Grand Marquis), Ford (UM...Falcon, T-Bird, Explorer, F-150), Buick, Saturn a 1948 Plymouth and a few more I don't recall. Oh...this Mercedes-Benz CLK500 should be included. I thought for many years of owning the 1995 Lexus SC400, that it was the best car I had owned (for 14 years). Nope. As much as I loved that car, Lexus hasn't made anything special since and I have no brand loyalty going there. Since owning the Mercedes, I've only seriously considered M-B for my next car. Hmmm...

Awesome For The Money — V8 plus seven speed gearbox = lots of grunt. Quiet interior with no engine rumble. Build quality is high. Looks good in red. Electronics galore. Pretty okay gas mileage. Sunroof plus no window pillar gives wide open feeling to a coupe. Nice headlights too.

Slow pick-up...

Love It, Love It, Love It! — Beautiful car... kinda quiet engine- slow on the pick up but gorgous sound system. I love the automatic 16 second convertible and its so quiet and sturdy. Love the German engineering! Can't complain about this car other than the fact that it could use a bit better response time.
