The 2006 Hummer H2 SUV is hard to miss. Riding higher than most other vehicles, with ten inches of ground clearance, the all-wheel drive SUV is powered by a 6.0-liter, 325-hp V8 and 4-speed auto tran that get 365 lb-ft of torque. The full-time AWD comes with a center and rear locking differential, a truck suspension, and front and rear stabilizer bars. Auto headlights, foglights, 4-wheel disc and ABS brakes, dual front airbags, traction control, auto-dimming mirrors, and skid plates are all standard.
The 2006 H2 SUV isn't meant just for rugged cross-country performance. It holds up to six passengers (with an optional third row seat), is equipped with a trailer hitch to tow 6700 pounds, and the cargo area can hold up to 87 cubic feet when the split-folding rear seats are down. A roof rack is also standard. Full interior luxuries include heated front and rear leather seats, power front seats, wheel-mounted audio and cruise control, OnStar, rear audio control, intermittent front and rear wipers, and heated folding mirrors. A new Special Edition option package adds a DVD player, navigation system, running boards, and a rearview camera. Other options include satellite radio, CD changer, rooftop light bar, and sunroof. Power, AWD, style, and standard features are highlights of the 2006 H2 SUV, but a plastic interior and low fuel economy are minor complaints.
