2006 Honda Insight Overview
Honda Insight is the only hybrid (gasoline/electric) automobile being driven in North America. In 2006, the Honda Insight still comes equipped with the same continuously variable transmission (CVT), providing smoother gear shifting automatically, along with greater fuel economy.
The lightweight aluminum body, with aerodynamic designing, is a 2-passengers vehicle. The sleek, "futuristic" design catches the attention of bystanders, and the driver control panel is just as impressive.
The 1.0-liter, three-cylinder engine uses electrical backup to assist with acceleration. The battery of this electrical system is well designed so it is a regenerating source of energy. With constant acceleration the battery will quickly drain.
Though prices vary, even in recent model cars, the price range for a 2006 Honda Insight is between $18,000 and $21,500.
