Very Good — I have had two things go wrong with the car. The car would not turn over one morning. And the Distance to Empty does not read right on my message control board.

The Car That Will Never Die — this 2006 model of the Ford Taurus is safe and reliable. After several years of development the NEW 2008 Taurus is even better than ever

Ordinary Car, But Drives Smooth, Looks Plain — It has almost no engine, the handling and amount of space avilable in the car is excellent. It is cheap, and an excellent first car for me.

My First New Car — This was a wonderful car, I enjoyed having it and it was my first sunroof. The car was kinda loud on the highway compared to the other one we had. It was a very nice car

Don't Buy A 2005 Or 2006 — Too many problems. Something always needs fixing or replacing. I had this car for 4 years. Replaced the transmission once and it just went again. Water pump replaced. Replaced all 4 tires twice. Window switch and motor went. This car was reguarly maintained and only put an average of 10,000 miles/year.

Pros

Roomy, comfortable on long trips.

Cons

Over 100,000 miles, be prepared to spend around $3,000 (over a couple of years) replacing parts on the engine.

What Can I Say, It's A Ford! — Car was bought as wife's commuter car. Have had to replace the battery, alternator, starter, and a bad cylinder head over the past 3 years. Thank goodness Ford guarantees its work! (GM has the same guarantee on the cars they work on, too!). It is possible the car was not maintained well before we bought it. It does quite well now.

Understated Design — Unless you have owned a Taurus I don't think you will appreciate one. This car rides amazing, has tons of space, gets good fuel mileage, and will also get up and go when you need it to. The interior has everything that you need and is easy to use.
