2006 Ford Freestar Cargo Review

Large cargo capacity yet light for her size. Attractive. Huge windshield. Great for long road trips. Huge windows all around. Handles well. Decent mileage. Best safety rating for her class/year.

Passing large tractor trailers on a windy freeway uphill can be challenging.

So Glad I Bought It — I love this car! She took me across the country twice. That's over the Rockies and up and down the Northern coast of California. Across vast tracks of windy dessert in the spring, and over the mountains in the snow. Through hail in the Poconos. Never failed. Always with the awesome 360 wide open view. I feel safe and secure in this car. I love the relatively good mileage, because she's light for her size. Easy to maneuver in traffic. Easy to see what your doing. I would buy this car again if I needed a zippy light cargo van. She's also pretty to look at inside and out, with pockets and ledges and huge picture windows. The seats are very comfortable for long trips. If I was younger and braver, I would have made her into a camper.

Power with fuel economy

Purchase price

Will Hope They Keep This Line So I Will Be Able To Purchase Another In The Future — The 3.5 L engine with the 6 speed transmission provides the perfect combination of power and fuel economy. The appearance grows on you once you feel the ride and handling and the interior is the most comfortable vehicle I have owned. The Flex handles cargo or family very well. It is fun to drive and very safe feeling at the same time.

everything else

Loving The Experience Of My Minivan — I love the handling of my minivan and haven't had any problems, but I would have liked to get better mileage, I get 19.2 miles to the gallon which isn't very good. One thing I love that I didn't think I'd ever use are the heated seats, on cold days they're wonderful. I would definitely recommend my van to a friend.

almost all

Moya's Mom — solid ride, very reliable, only problems with sensors in tires. I'm a Mom and emtrust the care of my chilren's lives to the reliability of this van, we're close to 60,000 k and that's the only problem thus far. Too bad Ford stopped production, I guess next is a Flex. We drove this van 1200 or so km to West Edmonton, with three full grown teenagers, amazingly no complaints, everyone plus bagage were comfortable. I LOVE my van!
