Pros

Overall quality, attention to detail, comfort and reliability, size and price compared to other trucks of similar quality. Let's not forget, it has an excellent crash rating, Its attractive looking.

Cons

It's underpowered compared to other trucks on the market, 19mpg highway and 15mpg city aren't the best.

Comfortable, Safe, Dependable And An Overall Joy To Drive — In deciding which make of truck to buy, I took the oppertunity to drive each of the top selling truck in the Southern California market. These trucks were: Dodge, Chevrolet, GMC, Nissan, Toyota and Ford. I considered the Honda as well, but I eliminated it based on looks alone. It just doesn't do anything for me personally. After driving them all, taking price into consideration, handling, power output and torque as well as overall driving pleasure, I chose the Ford. The Lariat Edition Supercrew was exactly what I was looking for, at the price I was looking to spend. It wasn't the cheapest truck but it wasn't the most expensive either. I've owned it for just over a year now and I couldn't be more pleased. The factory 300hp 365ft/lbs. of torque was easily increased with a MAC high flow intake, custom Flowmaster exhaust, a Superchips Power Programmer and a bed cover. It towed sufficiently stock, but with the bolt ons it has absolutely no problem towing a mid sized boat or car trailer with a '68 Ford Galaxie on it, with the 5.4L V8. It's as luxurious as any truck could be inside, with it's chrome plated A/C registers, quality sound system and soft black leather interior with heated seats. On long trips, the passengers don't feel tired and beat up like you would in another truck. Its a comfortable ride. Overall, it was a great purchase and I appreciate the attention to detail and overall quality of the truck. It drives nice, brakes predictably and can haul or tow just about anything I'd realistically expect it to. The cab of the truck is roomy and easily seats 6. I would recommend this truck to anyone who is in the market for a full sized truck.

Awesome Truck — I liked that it could pull both my enclosed or flatbed trailers with no problem. Very durable and dependable vehicle. Could get better gas mileage, but not as bad as others I have driven. Would like if it had a quieter ride.

Built Ford Tough. — Beautiful styling. Excelent power all around. Brake pads need replacement often. Only replaced one tire (used spare for the other), alternator, brake pads, and one rotor. Don't like that there is only a key hole on driver side. Power window quit working.

No Better Truck On The Market. This Is My 5 F150! — One Awesome Truck! 5.4 Liter with 3:73 gears. 90K and tows my boat with easy! Fit and finish outstanding. very comfortable to drive long distances. Power is right there! Towing is a breeze and it handles excellent. I often look in the rear view mirrors to see if my boat is still back there.

Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

Ford Is A Trusted Name In Trucks, I Mean Really They Have Been Around The Longest Of Any Truck Manuf — I really enjoy the look of this truck how it sits up higher off the ground and how it handles very nicely in the turns. It has some nice features with the cup holders. There is a water bottle sized holder in the drivers side door below the window instrument panel. And the cup holders in the back seat are nice beacause they pull out and are flush with the carpet and are all one piece. No more collapsing spring holders to deal with.

2006 Ford F150 Xlt Xtr — I Love That Truck. Recession made it illogical to own a full size pick up. Company's charging you for what the truck, any truck, is not worth. The truck could pull a house down. i did some pretty harsh offroading with it, fast, steep angles, deep mud/sand etc. and it never stopped or studdered. The truck never had a problem except when i left the driver window down repeated times in the rain and soaked all the power window controls multiple times they worked when they wanted to. My fault. Acceleration was great for 4.6L V8. breaking was surprisingly quick and handled like somthing alot smaller. Build quality was truly amazing. i roughed up that truck pretty bad and never had a problem with anything. I personally think the truck is absolutely gorgeous inside and out. I loved the layout and styling inside and out. I highly reccomend getting the XTR trim which is the chrome package. Gas mileage wasnt so great and it saved alot to plan trips. Very fun to drive and i was proud to own and show off. Lots of possibilities in terms of customization. I LOVE this Truck.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

I Love My Truck And Hope I Never Have To Get Rid Of It,i Love To See It Shine In The Sun — The Performance of my truck is ok but could be better. Even with a borla exhaust, long tube headers, high flow cats, k&N intake and edge power programmer,4.10 gears, Ford racing cams it could still use a supercharger to make it haul ass. Even with the over sized rim and tires my truck brakes very well. Gas mileage ha what gas mileage, no i get anywhere between 12.5 to 15.5 mpg, its not that bad, i used to get only 10.5 mpg.

Who Needs A Car When You Have This? — The F-150 has one of the most well-laid out interiors of any truck. Fit and finish is excellent, controls are well placed and have good tactile feel. The crew cab offers generous room and comfortable amenities for all passengers. While the engine is certainly less capable than its competitors, this is only noticed when towing heavy loads. Every day driving produces more than acceptable performance.

Big Luxury Truck Without Luxury Price — Great truck, love the room and versatility it offers. It hauls items in the bed wonderfully. The heat and air always work the way it should. It has been a great truck for our family. Love the look inside and the comfort!
