Probably One Of The Best Solid Road-worthy Cars Around. — In terms of performance, this beast is top of the line. Not many street drivable cars compare with the 2006 C6 Z06. Brakes, acceleration, and handling are well above the norm. And for those times when you want to show the guy next to you at the red light what a real car looks like, you can pop the vehicle into competition mode. Doing so enables a 1st - 4th gear jump, giving you less drag time trying to shift gears. | ||

To Go This Fast In Any Other Car Would Cost You At Least Double The Base Of This — People will criticize the interior of the Corvette but if you compare to a Porsche without a large leather package and over $10,000 worth of options I would say it's pretty comparable. That aside, the acceleration in this car is the fastest I have experienced. The transmission is a little clunky during around-town driving, but when you rev it past 3,000 rpm's and dump the clutch it's smooth and deliberate. The exhaust note is a nice combination of American muscle growl with a hint of European mechanical wine from the engine. The later-G gauge is fun to play with on back roads to see how many your pulling. Overall just a wonderful sports car that can run with the best from Europe at half the price. | ||

Damn This Car Is Awesome!!! — The car is an all around performer. However, I do have one complaint. The seats are entirely to soft and lack proper bolstering. Also, they could be more rigid. Other than that, the car is an engineering marvel!! Sleek, sexy, and blindingly fast!! There are not enough good things to say about this car! Rolling Thunder. — Basic ZO-6 was based on C6-R race car, winner of 24 Hours of Le Mans. Stock version has 512 horse power (505 american horses). By changing of whole exhaust system, intake system and some electronic mods I managed to get 600 break horse power. This is a race car on the road... Dry sump, engine and gear-box are separated, G-force indicator, radiator for gear-box and rear axle. etc. You can drive a Ferrari or Lambo for 3 hours may be, but then you will have to stop to cool the brakes down, gear-box, etc. This one, you can drive 24 hours. May be it is not that nice like a Ferrari Enzo or Lamborghini Superlegera but the performance is dramatic !!! | ||

Needs More Power. — I understand that this is the most powerful Corvette yet, but it still lacks what the European companies have... Quality of product. The Corvette is lacking the grunt that a Lamborghini Gallardo, or an Audi R8 has. The quality reflects in the price as well. The R8 and the Gallardo are built by hand and to last. I've seen videos of the Corvette's roof coming off on the highway. Another reason why the Corvette will never come close to what a REAL car is worth. GM is always cutting corners to save a buck, and it shows. | ||

Just Plain Fun And Awesome Disign And Performance. — Acceleration and brakin are outstanding in the Z51 Package. Handling is great, but the ride is harsh with this package. Noise level is better than the C5. Quality is very good, gas mileage averages over 20mpg. No maintenance issues so far (13,000 miles). Really, really fun to drive and the design is awesome. I really enjoy the proximity key for starting and locking the car. One negative is the tires on these vehicles don't last long. I have two tops, the painted top had a recall to repair lamination separation and the repair facility told me I was about to lose the outer (painted) layer. Removable tops are a very nice feature and a must for us. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) | ||
