2006 BMW Z4 M Roadster Review
ProsOutstanding handling and performance. A lot of fun to drive!! A great looking ride. ConsThat I have decided to sell the car. Have a 16 year old that I need to get a car for.

Bmw M Roadster Is One Hot Car. — The car will become a classic collectable in the future. A real good handler that corners as if on rails, yet is has a smooth ride and handles very predictably. BMW really outdid itself when it dropped the 3 Series engine into the Z4 to create this performance car. It is head and shoulders above the standard Z4. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

The Convertible Ultimate Driving Machine... The E85 Bmw Z4 3.0si — As a successor to the previous generation E36/7 (roadster) Z3, BMW adds a tastes of Bangle-styling to the new E85 Z4. It is indeed a love-it-or-hate-it styling; but after looking at it for a while you kind of get used to it... it does look more proportional, more appealing, and more sexy than the Z3. Step into the car you will find the bucket seats hugs you comfortably while it takes you onto the fwy and windy mountain roads with easy. It is great fun driving this little convertible. You can fit 2 golf bags in the trunk but you do have to squeeze. Overall, this is a great weekend car for a trip to the resort or just for some driving fun. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

ProsStyling, accoutrements, acceleration ConsEngine isn't as throaty as say, a 350Z

"sniper: A Z4 Story" — After having wanted a BMW for most of my life and having test driven three different models (the M3, the 330ci, and the Z4) I finally got my dream car! It gets more attention than other cars--especially with the top down. It's a blast to drive, despite not having that much hp (215, 3.0 liter), it is one fast little car because it is just a little over 3,000 pounds. The brakes are a little grippy, but that's a good thing when you hit 122 like I'm known to do. ;-) Coming from a car that had headers/catback exhaust, and cold air intake, the engines a little quiet for me, but at least I can hear people when they talk! For a little car [2-seater] it has a lot of trunk space--I fit two large suitcases in that puppy!

ProsFun, all the time. ConsNo back seat.

Fantastic — The Zed 4 is the ultimate European roadster. It combines old school roadster styling with the newest technologies and safety features. Its wonderful fun for that spirited cruise through the Hill Country or a timid beast on longer journeys. For someone looking for a fantastic driving experience and a small budget this is absolutely a car to consider. Primary Use: Commuting to work

ProsZippy. Compact batmobile. ConsGrabby handling with run flats.

Z4 — This is a great car for the money if purchased lightly used as I did. The Z line from BMW is generally more reliable than the 3 or 5 series of the early to late 2000's. Interior fit and finish seems average and rattles like an old truck I used to own. Great fun to drive on a twisty road that is free of seams and tarmac quality changes.

ProsThis is a wonderfully reliable sports car. The convertible top doesn't impede into the trunk with it is down so luggage space isn't hampered when it is time to drop the top. While having 330hp this car will still get close to 30mpg on the highway. ConsNot a family car. Although reliable, maintenance costs on BMW M cars car be higher than an ordinary Z4.

A Wonderfully Fast Good Weather Car. — I would recommend this car to anyone looking for a convertible sports car that wants reliability, speed, good looks, and a car that not every one has and not everyone knows how fast it is. BMW Z4s are a also great for those who want a drop top, but also want a car that can hall more that a sport coat and sunglasses.

ProsLooks awesome, needs some extra note! 22mpg not bad for a 3.2 340bhp car. ConsThe rattles, crikey the rattles kill me!

Bmw Z4m Coupe — Big power with comfort. Hey, it's a big step for me. It's got a roof! Looks ace especially with some new CSL rims. Rattle box (well one) and high servicing is not fun! What to buy next!? Something with more seats! Primary Use: Commuting to work

2006 Z4 3.0 — Drivers car. Everything centers on the driving experience. Frills if you're willing to pay but the good stuff comes standard. Great styling, and fuel milage. Good reliablity as well! Fun drop top experience and a solid performer! All BMW in a small package! |
