2005 Toyota Sienna LE AWD Review
ProsRoomy, great pickup and handling ConsFreezing doors, run-flats

Groovy Mom-mobile — This minivan handles like a much smaller car. It's easy and fun to drive. It has great pick-up, too. I love most things about it except for a few glitches: the rear doors freeze shut in the winter unless I remember to put WD-40 on them, the outlets don't work and my mechanic doesn't know why. The door-open light doesn't tell you which door. The run-flat tires have to be replaced frequently. Otherwise it's a great car.

Great Drive, Nice Interior, Exterior Is "cheap" — I really like my Sienna's interior and the way that it drives. It's very smooth compared to other cars I've driven (mostly sedans and SUVs). The interior is very comfortable. The problem with the LE is that the exernal trim is very cheap. The wheels are covered in with a plastic wheel cover that is easily damaged and falls off after being hit with anything. Similarly, the foglamp covers in the front easily fall out and cost $150 to replace a silly piece of plastic. Owner for 1 years, 6 months Miles Driven per Year:25,000

ProsPlenty of room for a large family but great fuel economy too. ConsI have not found any cons in owning this van.

Great Buy — Comfortable and economical to drive. One of the most reliable vans on the road. Very high safety rating is another plus. Room for a large family and storage room. I also love the stow away seats which make this van very versatile. Primary Use: Family transportation

ProsOverall, still worth buying for it's safetiness, roominess, quietness, and beautiful appearance. ConsExpenses of Run Flat tires, but you don't have to get them.

New Ride For Expanding Family — PERFORMANCE - Acceleration is great for a minivan, Braking reaction is great (not too sensitive), Handling is good (soft response) BUILD QUALITY - 5 * Safety Rated! Solid! Roomy! Clean! Accessible! - Run Flat Tires only lasts around 20K - 40K miles, Expensive tires, No compartment for Spare tire. APPEARANCE - Gorgeous interior with leather seats and lots of power options including heated driver & passenger seat. COST OF OWNERSHIP - Too new to tell...keep checking back FUN FACTOR - A great family vehicle with good acceleration for a minivan. Come standard with loads of fun and useful options. Plenty of room for cargo and babies.

Toyota Sienna Minivan — Love the space. Definately big enough for adults or teenagers in back. Solid performance with few repair issues. Dislike that rear door, defroster, automatic window and other things have broken. Would recommend this car to others. and others and others.

Poor Fuel Economy — I've had the car in to have it checked 3 times; it checks out perfect on the diagnostic. But it still only will get 12 mpg city /17.5 mpg country. I had a ford aero star that always got 28 mpg . Why is there such a difference. I even put Michelen tires on it. Owner for 0 years, 3 months Miles Driven per Year:5,000 |
