Its A Box, Lots Of Room.....surprisingly! — Excellent gas mileage, decent performance, and very economical. i have had 4 of my friends plus me in the car and it still operates the same. The VVT-i engine is surprisingly peppy. I bought this car specificly for looks and gas mileage and it is money well spent. Now that gas is 4.00 a gallon i couldnt be happier on my choice one year ago.

The Most Reliable Car I've Ever Owned, And An Amazing Deal. — Probably the best car I've ever owned. Between the interior space, which makes the car feel huge, and its compact exterior makes it super easy to drive and park, it really is different then anything I've ever driven. I've never had an issue with this car! It's only ever needed gas and fluids. It has a good ride feel, comfortable seats, and is great for trips especially with the XM radio which is just awesome (especially since it's free!). This car may have been geared towards kids in their late teens, but it really works well for families with all of the interior space, and fuel economy it should not be overlooked. Really an excellent car!

The Original Box! — Great small car, lots of space, easy to park, very good gas mileage, comfortable with passengers, over 160k trouble free miles. Front pads replaced @ 95k, rear shoes repl;aced @ 115k, oil service every 5k. Drive daily as sales & delivery vehicle, love it! Got a set of winter tire and the Xb goes like my Ridgeline (AWD) in the snow. The utlility of the Xb is fantastic, I deliver Baked good in the morning and use for Sales calls in the afternoon. I do have a trailer hitch and the Xb will tow a couple Motorcycles........carefully. This car is NOT for sale!

Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

Cons

low horsepower.

Awsome — car was amazing, quality was superb. very fun to drive and performed rather well considering it only has 100 hp. gas mileage was great. not too many costs. more of a teen car though. deffinately a good car that is worthwhile.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros

nearly 30 mpg city...and fast for a 4 cylinder.

Cons

No armrest/console.  Can buy an aftermarket one but it doesn't come stock.

35

Fast Toaster. — For a tiny engine...it has some speed..enough to get me a $220 speeding ticket. AEM Performance cool air intake...Borla performance exhaust..18" Enkei 9 spoke rims wrapped in Falken racing tires. Carbon inside and out. Billet grill inserts. Remote start. Might lower it a little eventually...gives it a meaner look.

Cons

I only own one of them!

More Bang For Your Buck! — Gets the best gas mileage ever! Roomy yet compact. Manual tranny with 5 speeds has enough get up and go to blow by 'performance' vehicles when necessary

Pros

Great gas mileage, plenty of people room, enough storage for an entire dorm room worth of stuff.

Cons

Slow; not a performance machine by any stretch.

Everything A College Student Needs. — Great car, it's fun to drive and it is quite unique. I have wanted one ever since I first saw the Scion Concept car and as soon as I turned 16 and got my license I was dreaming of when I could get one. Now 32,000+ miles later I am still enjoying my box.

Best Mini-suv Ever — I bought this car at the height of the fuel price jump. I had a Nissan Sentra SER-Spec-V that i traded in on it for.. I wanted reliability and Nissan is just not there anymore. The XB was a new design at the time, there was nothing else on the road like it. It had a huge aftermarket scene for parts, which made it that much more like a blank canvas. I had owned toyota's in which i had done motor swaps, and maintenance on before so i knew there was potential in power, styling, and the cost of 15k new out the door made it that much more fun to look into. I drove this car for only a short amount of time. But i met some great people because of it. www.scionrg.com and became part of a club. I ended up building my box toward my personality, and also loved the optional mods that existed for it. I would buy another one tomorrow. Reliable, never had a single issue, they are not fast, actually very slow, but they have tons of potential and loads of interior volume.. Biggest back seat of any car i owed.. (Even a Cadillac)

Pros

Pretty good gas milage. Sporty vibe depending on your preferences. Very spacious for passengers and driver. Very inexpensive to keep maintained. Never have had any problems.

Cons

Pretty slow, only 108 horsepower with little torque. Can be considered ugly to some people. Interior is very bland and plastic. Not many extra luxuries you find in most cars. Definitely a budget car.

Your Average Toaster. — This being my first car to own, I was very excited to drive it whenever I wanted and however I wanted. But after a month or so, I realized how slow it actually was and the excitement faded away. The interior is very basic, even below basic. Not much going on on the dash. It's a good car if you're on a strict budget, but don't expect getting anywhere fast. I average at about 27mpg, and that's with my heavy foot on the accelerator. Japanese cars are always trustworthy, but this one is more like a trustworthy snail. You could easily buy a different car with more power for around the same price. It's worth just forking out the cash and then selling it later for 2k less. I would just put some money down on a faster car like the Mazda3, and finance the rest if possible.
