2005 Jaguar Xj Vanden Plas — The car drives like a dream. Couldn't ask for more performance or smoother power from the 4.2L V8. More toys than anyone could ever ask for either. Plus - it gets great gas mileage. All in all, the kitty delivers flawlessly.

ProsThe whine from the supercharger on kickdown ConsA bit fragile in the Dubai heat, repairs starting to get expensive

Perfect Car For An Englishman Abroad — The Jag I always wanted - all the toys, most of them still work, fast enough to have to be careful, rare enough to turn heads, nice to leave with the valet parking, everything you need in a car, only costs £25 to fill the tank :-) Primary Use: Commuting to work | ||

My New Jag Xj8l - 3 Years And Counting . . . — Performance? Man, I live in the wrong State, L0L I nail this baby and I'm 80-90 by the end of the block. Squeaks & Rattles? Only when I take my moms Chryslerout for a spin. Appearance. Well, would you believe i still get the compliments after 3 years. Cost of Ownership - yea, does this baby depreciate fast. But I get astonishing gas mileage. Long trips down the interstate a whopping 36MPG at a steady 80MPH. Normally I get low 20's with each tank although just the 2 mi to work and home pulls me down to 18. Who cares if it takes SuperHi-test. Fun factor. Yes, this car is fun to drive (and comfy too) |
