Give Me 40 Acres... — Truck looks awesome, runs awesome, rides awesome, and is not bad on fuel. I got a terrific deal on it and could not pass it up. I had to order seat covers for the drivers seat and floor mats, but other than that I'm good to go. BTW, I just bought it on May 1st, but it's my 2nd Ford 6.0. I'm going to have the fluids changed and the radiator flushed in the next few days. 6.0s will clog up if the coolant gets too dirty. I'll be adding the coolant filter to it too. It still has the EGR so that may be an issue down the line. I don't romp and stomp on it, so I doubt the head bolts will need upgrading. There are more turns of the steering wheel to get around corners than the Suburban I'm selling. That kind of caught me off guard and I used a lot more of my lane and part of the next one when I made my first right turn, I have to swing it WIDE too because of the 172" wheelbase. But I wouldn't buy a short bed pickup. My son saw it for the first time today and wanted to swap me his newer pickup for it. And he's not even into Fords! So far it's a great truck. I put the Suburban on a 20' equipment trailer and towed it home when I picked up the Ford. About a 90 mile drive and it did fine. Pulled hills like a beast and with no drama. Averaged 11.7 mpg on 2 lane roads and many small towns.

Pros

6.0L has plenty of power, good Idea to have extended drive train coverage, Engines have been known to have head gasket and EGR issues and are expensive to have repaired, nothing an average back yard mechanic would want to tackle.

Cons

Lost head gaskets before I purchased the extended covage.  $3500.00 dollars later ouch. Truck wasn't worked at all, when I asked Ford how or why I lost head gaskets at 75000 miles was told these engines, have had issues and seem once you change them their good to go after that, with the up dated head studs.

Work Horse/daily Driver — Braking was great, acceleration awsome, more then enough power, will be hard for me to ever go back to driving a gas pwered truck. The truck is very sharp looking, Ford did a good job, I always like to see people faces when you drive by and they see this black and silver 4x4. Was nice to drive on long trips, very comfortable. Backup sensors a must, the tailor/towing morrors a must. City driving milage was 14-15, on the highway I saw 21 MPG on long trips. Maintence cost higher then a gaser, 14QTs of oil for starters. Other then losing head gaskets, truck was very reliable and was never in the shop. Truck solid, no noise issues, Auto climate control and heated seats are nice on a cold winter day. Turning was improved for 2005 year but still hard in smaller parking lots.

Reliable And Fun! — This truck is a blast to have. It looks awesome and really has a very nice interior. Not many trucks are in this good of shape and hold up like these do. All around just a great truck to have.

Pros

This thing is a work horse will pull anything and has plenty of power to do it. Plus it is so cool looking it is like driving a show car around town.

Cons

It is a beast very hard to park and drive in tight places. Need lots of room to turn this thing around.

A Custom Work Horse Built To Tow. — This thing is a blast to drive if you need to do some serious hauling. It was built to tow 24K pound loads custom conversion. I drive truck and this F350 kind of looks like a mini semi truck. If you want to just make a quick trip to the store this rig can be a pain to park. But I love the style of this truck.

Great Fun Truck — I love the way the truck looks and rides. I added a banks system and now have more then enough power. Highway 17 mpg at 75 mph, 12 to 14 mpg city and 10 to 12 mpg pulling a 10,000 lbs trailer. The truck has 97,000 miles and i have had to change the egr valve. I have not had any other problems with it. Ford dealer does all the maintenance at the recommended intervals. I use it as a daily driver. It is sometimes hard to find a parking place. I would recommend this truck to anyone.

Lots of int space. Lots of power from the turbo diesel. Big chrome grill is intimidating when you see it in your rear view mirror.

Cons

A little thirsty for a diesel. 14mpg city 16 mpg hwy.

The Best Truck I've Ever Had. — $701/mnt cheap lease for a 1 ton diesel. tons of room for the kids. Pulls anything you hook to the hitch and you don't even know its there. Suprisingly smooth ride and handles great off road with a good mud tire. Great list of available options including heated seats, backup sensors and a power sunroof.

Perfect Camping Truck — Loved this truck but too big and too expensive to be my daily driver. The Diesel engine was great-good acceleration, great handling, about 12-15 mpg, but still, it was spendy to fill the 38g tank.

It Cost Money To Play — good truck will go through anything. pull anything. smooth and comfortable ride. but very very expensive to maintain. plenty of power. they look good when ya doll em up a bit. pretty good on fuel when ya keep your foot out of it. the fun factor is the best part. when you can take something anywhere you want it a good one
