Pros6.0L has plenty of power, good Idea to have extended drive train coverage, Engines have been known to have head gasket and EGR issues and are expensive to have repaired, nothing an average back yard mechanic would want to tackle. ConsLost head gaskets before I purchased the extended covage. $3500.00 dollars later ouch. Truck wasn't worked at all, when I asked Ford how or why I lost head gaskets at 75000 miles was told these engines, have had issues and seem once you change them their good to go after that, with the up dated head studs.

Work Horse/daily Driver — Braking was great, acceleration awsome, more then enough power, will be hard for me to ever go back to driving a gas pwered truck. The truck is very sharp looking, Ford did a good job, I always like to see people faces when you drive by and they see this black and silver 4x4. Was nice to drive on long trips, very comfortable. Backup sensors a must, the tailor/towing morrors a must. City driving milage was 14-15, on the highway I saw 21 MPG on long trips. Maintence cost higher then a gaser, 14QTs of oil for starters. Other then losing head gaskets, truck was very reliable and was never in the shop. Truck solid, no noise issues, Auto climate control and heated seats are nice on a cold winter day. Turning was improved for 2005 year but still hard in smaller parking lots. Primary Use: Commuting to work

If You Like Trucks, Try It — Performance...Acceleration is more than good for the size of the truck. Braking is good and handling surprised me. Build quality...don`t wanna waste my time talkin` about it `cuz this truck is tough. Appearance is gorgeous, the most beautiful american truck ever made. It is a diesel truck that is now more expensive than 5 years ago but worths it. Been one of the most fun truck to drive(F-150 Harley Davidson was a bit better!). | ||

Ford F-350 — Amazing truck, but always with ford they have a glitches and we have had to recalibrate and update, along with replace alot. I like it, plain and simple. I think ford could have done a bit better job with the inside of the cab, but in later years they have excelled. | ||

Great Fun Truck — I love the way the truck looks and rides. I added a banks system and now have more then enough power. Highway 17 mpg at 75 mph, 12 to 14 mpg city and 10 to 12 mpg pulling a 10,000 lbs trailer. The truck has 97,000 miles and i have had to change the egr valve. I have not had any other problems with it. Ford dealer does all the maintenance at the recommended intervals. I use it as a daily driver. It is sometimes hard to find a parking place. I would recommend this truck to anyone. | ||

Perfect Truck — LOTS OF POWER! love the truck and get as good or better fuel mileage than an suv half the size.The truck is very well built and I havent had to sink any money into major maintainance.And the truck is extremely fun to drive. It Cost Money To Play — good truck will go through anything. pull anything. smooth and comfortable ride. but very very expensive to maintain. plenty of power. they look good when ya doll em up a bit. pretty good on fuel when ya keep your foot out of it. the fun factor is the best part. when you can take something anywhere you want it a good one Primary Use: Commuting to work | ||

The Ford F-350 Is A Great Truck, Just Stay Away From The 6.0 Diesel Engine — Loved the truck, the engine is another story. The 6.0 diesel is a bad engine always in the shop. Had plenty of power. Interior is spacious and seats were comfortable. 18 mpg, OK for a 8,000 lb truck. Worked very well to haul my slide in truck camper. Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.) | ||

Pulls Houses — Love the TURBO DIESEL!!! It is so roomy and is great for long trips. Plus it is very stable at high speeds due to the dual rear wheels. I also love the fact that it has a long bed so I can hawl almost anything. It does kinda suck at the pump though. | ||

ProsCan fit more than two people in it. Just the over all size an usability of it. ConsCan be chalenging finding a parking spot for it when out on the town.

Great For Towing Big Loads! — Great truck for me so far. Have had all the usual isues accociated with the 6.0L happen at 30k but at 60k now still runs and pulls like a dream. When pulling the large boats, sometimes I forget they are behind me because the truck doesn't jerk too much. Good thing and bad thing I guess. Banks stainless exhaust and programed for some serious power. I love dusting the many imports I have at traffic lights. They never know what hit them when a big black dually beats them. Ha Ha!!! |
