Pros

Timeless, gorgeous design.

Cons

The fact that the model designation is being discontinued (the 3rd generation CLK is now called E-Class Coupe).

After Five Years, This Car Still Makes Me Smile Every Time I Drive It. — The CLK offers a great mix of timeless, elegant design, luxury and performance. The highlight of the car is the column-less design, high quality leather and wood in the interior design, and good overall performance in terms of quick acceleration (about 6 seconds to 60 mph) and handling. Moreover, I have not have a single problem with the car since I purchased it and the only cost to-date was to replace the tires and brakes after 5 years of use. Sure there is more performance oriented cars like the BMW 335i, the BMW M3 and the Audi S5. However, the BMW 3-series simply cannot match the quality, comfort and design from the CLK. Audi can but it took them many years to catch up with the A5 / S5 and their brand equity as a driver of resale value is still unknown in the U.S.

2004 Clk 500 - A Great Automobile, Period. — From day 1 I felt this was the car for me. It handles wonderfully in the Colorado Mountains. The 5.0 Liter V8 has plenty of power when you ask for it. Handling is precise and quick. Still looks as good as the new ones. Classic lines. An AMG pkg. would make it perfect if I had the bucks. But for the money spent, I would be hard pressed to find anythingt on the market that satifies as well.

2004 Mercedes Benz Clk230 — The 2004 CLK320 I own performs without any flaws. It has two settings one for comfort, the other for performance and you can tell the difference between the two. Its a more robust vehicle than the 2003 C230K I had previously. I think its styling is timeless, having generally straight lines devoid of any trendy styling gimmicks. Its a comfortable car to drive with a sporty side that you can use when needed. I would recommend this vehicle to anyone in the market for a couple from an upscale marquee.

Mercedes Is Perfect For This Stage Of My Life — Really, I couldn't be happier with this car. We were looking for a car for my daughter and stumbled upon it at Charles Maund. My wife saw it first and suggested we look at it for us, not our daughter. The rest is happy history.

Classic — This car is a wolf dressed in sheep's clothing. Even though it is refined looking, it is anything but. This cars only downfall is that it drives too smoothly... 120 mph feels like 65. Yet as smooth as it is, you can still "feel the road". It's really an engineering marvel in my opinion. The Germans really know how to build one hell of an automobile.

Love My Benzo On Lorenzos — The car is definitely fun to drive, responsive and quick. I think I have added to the appearance both interior and exterior by the few mods I have done. Lorenzo Chrome wheels, Panasonic LCD/DVD/NAVI/IPod/Sirius, Kicker Solobaric Subwoofer. The biggest drawback is the cost of ownership, both of which should be expected when driving a Benz and a V8.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Cost a fortunae and its built very very badly...and its German!!!

Buy Bmw — Ownership stinks.....I have had so many things fixed or replaced....and servicing and maintenence are ridiculously expensive. Look elswehere for German "build quality". I won't be coming back to a Mercedes showroom anytime soon for my Friday/Monday car again.

Mercedes-benz Clk 500 — I have driven a lot of cars, and I will say hands down it is the best car I have ever driven. I miss this car so much i dream of it at nite. Even though the 550 has replaced the 500, I would buy a 500 used because I became so connected with handling of this acheivement of German engineering.
