2004 Mercedes-Benz C-Class 4 Dr C230 Kompressor Supercharged Sedan Review
ProsFit, finish, durability, reliability, style, comfort, amenities, mileage. Just feels good to drive. ConsBack seat space but that is to be expected, it's not an S class.

One Of The Best Overall Performing Cars I Have Owned. — I have driven this car from 35,000 to 85,000. It is still solid and runs strong. Accessories, knobs, buttons etc. still work great. This is such a good all-around performer. It's not blistering fast but has good power to weight. Last year my commute went from 10 miles to 25 miles each way and so getting 30 mpg highway has been great. I had a CLK55 and loved the horsepower. It would be nice to have that kind of power in this car but I would really miss the good mileage. I always think about my next car but I have found that in nearly every case there would be some aspect of this little Mercedes that I would miss. I enjoy getting into it every day. Primary Use: Commuting to work

ProsGreat everyday drive fun in highway too. ConsExpensive maintenance

I Like It. — I like this car as an every day drive. It is a nice highway drive too. I do not recomend it for highperformance driving however I enjoy driving it. Very good quality however spare parts are super expensive in Mexico, it is better to buy them on the internet at the US. Primary Use: Commuting to work

Sems C220 Cdi Se — This was the facelift Model.. absolute quality car. Good engine for size of motor, better transmission than the new model. Good mpg over long distances. Fully loaded model with comand 2.1 and climate control. Much cheaper to service than u think

ProsPerformance, handling, styling, and a serious WOW factor,People have said I moved up from the Lincoln ConsAnother luxury car and more rediculously priced parts.Low beam HID light bulbs $300 a pair.

A Step Up From My Lincoln? Maybe. — After driving 2 Lincoln Continentals for a number of years finding a car to drive while I rebuilt a transmision, wasn't something I looked forward to.But when I first saw my Mercedes I knew my search was over. This car is beautiful to look at,comfortable, loaded with toys, gets decent mileage and goes like hell.FUN? you betcha!!!It's more of a sports car ride than my Lincoln but not overly harsh.I have been very impressed by the build quality, performance, and handling.Try pushing the HAPPY pedal on one of these things,it WILL impress you.

ProsLarge luggage area, excellent build quality, great looks, excellent breaking and cornering ConsNo lumber support on the drivers seat.

C200k Estate — The super charged C200 Estate has amazing performance, is quiet, and confortable to drive. The open highway milage is excellent (under 7 ltrs/100km), but the city driving can be arounf 10 ltrs/100km. The Estate is German built with excellent quality (unlike the sedans which are built in South Africa).

ProsStylish, smooth, quality built car, roomy, packed with features, surprisingly economical 7.3L/100 on the HWY and 9.3L/100km mixed driving. ConsEven though the supercharged 4 pumps out 190 HP, I would like to see another 30-40HP in this car to make it perfect for me. Because the 4 cylinders work harder to propel the car, engine is a bit noisier than the less powerful 6 cylinder model.

Festivas For The Rest Of Us... (seinfeld) — That's what it is, a Mercedes-Benz for the common folk, nothing to fancy, but unmistakable Mercedes. I'm happy with it. It's large enough for a young family and long trips pleasure. Super smooth ride, even on rough roads this car does nor rattle. Seats are very comfortable, I can put a full day of driving and will not get stiff. Loaded with power options, climate control works like a charm... Traction control - a life saver for a rear wheel drive car in Canadian winters. All I can say is, I'm glad for the more affordable C class otherwise it won't be possible for me to drive a Benz. Like George Costanza would say "Festivas for the rest of us..."

Only Owned It A Month, But Love It. Has 67000 Miles And Seems Like Its "new" — bought the c320 with what i think is high miles, 67000. former owner drove to florida every year. so i didnt let that bother me. car drives like new. ive owned bmw and acura's, this is in the same class as far as we see it. the v6 is strong and the car is impressive.

ProsCar runs/looks fine, no problems so far too offal to handle. ConsMaintenance/repair cost. $2020.00 for minor crap. plugs, oil/filter change, trans. fluid/filter change, air filters, (brake fluid change-why?), and a quick look over. (Insane u ask me)

It's A Very Nice Car. That's All, It Isn't A Pace Maker That I Am Willing To Sell My Soul For. — I love driving it. I enjoy the folks that ask about it. The fuel cost is a bit on the shaky side. The repairs are insanely priced by the dealerships. The extra keys are a bad joke. The cost (Key) that you have to pay out for another one, from the Dealerships! As for acceleration, it's grate (when it's working properly) Braking no problems, handling is very good, as for safety-well so far I haven't had to find out how safe I am in it.(I love a challenge from anyone that wants to race, so far, 135mph wasn't too bad, 'I won') Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Great Car For Old People... Lol — Good Car For Long Distance traveling, Town driving will hurt your wallet. Very heavy on petrol in town. Great performance for an 1800cc ... Few interior and exterior things that putt me of... But not bad in general. Very relaible in general, only prob i had was oil cooler that blew a port and mixed oil with water, That was on 187000km. Window switches tend to break when pull little to hard. Cd player Greated too soon, Replacement cost in south africa is way to much for a radio. Primary Use: Family transportation

Black Velvet — Performance above average, great family space with a sport handling, awesome accel, the materials used in the ineror could be better, looks so good o the road, the cost of ownershop is a little high due to double fliters and a v6 engine is a really fun car to drive... i can get to 110 without noticing ... Primary Use: Commuting to work |
