2004 Honda Accord EX V6 Review

Worth It All The Way! — This car does not have the strongest acceleration from 0, but after it gets going and you floor it, she just takes off. The cost of of owning it is not too high, thus far in over a year only regular oil changes, brakes and one burned out light. The fun factor for me is great considering I used to drive a 4 cyl Camry and a 98 Buick...

ProsAmount of power, still getting ok mpg's. ConsHandling isn't the best

Overall A Great Car — Very reliable Overall great car, just wish I was a little more sporty. Performance is pretty good the V2 intake really kicked up the power, I also wish there were more mods, but there really isn't any for this car. But even with about 270 hp I still get 27/32 mpg. Fun To Drive, Great Reliability — Fun to Drive. Great on Gas, Like the GPS feature. Additional modification allows greater HP and acceleration. Upgraded CPU added so no more limitation to 125MPH. Great handling and responsive driving. All around the Car is low ownership cost and fun to drive. Primary Use: Commuting to work

ProsIt's a Honda. ConsNone.

I'm Buying Another One. — 2.4 L DOHC i-VTEC...picks up like most V-6's I've driven. For a 4 cylinder, gets kind of bad mileage (25 mpg @ 75 mph). Acceleration is more than adequate at low RPM's, but whimpers under full acceleration. Picks up speed faster at lower RPM's than a full kick-down to a low gear. Braking is great, with good pedal feedback. Handling is to be expected, not athletic but very surefooted. Build quality is good, but is showing wear quicker than other cars I've had with four times the mileage. Edge of seat is wearing prematurely on driver's side, door pillar fabric is starting to bubble like it wants to come off. Cost of ownership is very low - never has needed repair. For me, the car isn't "fun" to drive, but is a pleasure to drive - glides down the highway with aplomb and feels sporty at 85+mph. This is by far the sweetest sounding engine I've ever had - sounds very balanced and tight; ready to go at all times. Primary Use: Family transportation

Prosdecent gas mileage and tremendous reliability. ConsUnderpowered

The 2004 Honda Accord, The True "volkswagen" ("peoples Car") — To start off, the 2004 Accord is well styled and fairly comfortable inside. All of the dials are in within comfortable reach and the dash is big, bright and very easy to read. The most important part about owning this car is that I have not had to pay one cent for repairs. This car has never broken down or seized and the one time i had to bring it in (the radio fascia was broken) the dealership payed for it. The car gets decent gas mileage but is pretty bland in the performance department. I put a cold air intake in which gives me the illusion that I am driving fast but allows me to maintain the decent gas mileage. All in all, the honda accord is a great car suitable for every sector of the automotive buyers market.

Prosok car ConsDealership service.

Ok Car But Service Will Kill You. — Honda builds good cars at good prices. However, they make the money on the service. The dealer always had some kind of reason to drop way to much money on the car. Every 15,000 miles said it needed brakes on the rear. True story. Went to another Dallas dealer and they tried to hook me for a $70.00 air filter. I will never buy another Honda car because of this.

2004 Honda Accord EX Coupe Review
ProsSo many pros to this car: nice looking, rides smoothly, powerful, very reliable, easy and cost efficient to maintain. ConsNot a lot of room in the back seat, but hey, it's a coupe!

Very Reliable And Overall Awesome Car! — I love this car! It was the first car I bought with my own money once I completed college. It has been incredibly reliable. If the body style of the newer Accords was to my liking, I'd buy another one of these babies in a heart beat. Primary Use: Commuting to work |
