Run From Ford As Fast As You Can Before Your Money Is All Gone. — Paid a lot of money for this truck and it has been a big lemon that has cost me too much money and time. Have had to replace the turbo, EGR, oil cooler, many sensors and now the FICM is screwed. Took it out and had it reworked on the voltage side but now truck won't start. Took it to the dealer to see what code would come up and no code comes up.???? Now I am being told that the logic side is not working on the FICM and I have to remove it again and this time take out the ECM as well to be repaired and flashed. Where does the madness end. The truck has less the 100,000 K and just out of warranty. Ford will not stand behind this big lemon and I will never own another Ford again due to this BS. Excellent Vehicle — Excellent fuel economy, fun to drive, fairly easy to work on, great for hauling stuff. Lots of upgrades available, most of them fairly cheap, and really add to the overall style of the truck. As long as the engine is left stock, no problems with it. Not Good For Anythin But Pullin A Big Load On The Highway — Pulls good and ive never had problems with it, but the engine is known for having issues and parts are expensive. It is an xl so it doesnt have many appearence and comfort options, but if it looked good i would be afraid to work it. Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.) | ||

Dont Buy One New Or Used It Is Garbage!!! — I bought new 04' F350 SRW 4x4, off the lot it came with a JUNK 6.0L motor i drove it to 130,000 miles before i couldnt afford to repair it anymore and sold it for scrap! it was a $38,000.00 new truck when i got it with 10 miles. It was the worst truck i have ever owned. after the warranty ran out i spent over $6,000 for motor work, rear axle rebuild, drive shafts, injectors,coolant problems and head gasket failure! What a Complete pice of Junk I cannot understand how this motor was every built and how it was ever sold! i will never buy another diesel truck from ford- I am a commercial buyer! dont buy one it almost put me out of business! Yes. It's Pretty And It Gets The Job Done — Leak in the power steering fluid. within the first year (bought used) new transmission and alternator. Drive in homecoming parade, bed holds entire soccer team, big enough to decorate a lot. Used in mud in a cattle pin and hauling a trailer full of finished steers without a problem. Its Sweet Regardless — have engine problems alot till i put in off road use only parts. God i love it though. Best truck to drive on a road trip. I get great fuel mileage and the turbo whistling is all i need for a fun time in it Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.) | ||

Love Hate Relationship, Overall... I Still Love My Truck — typical 6.0 problems; EGR cooler, Oil cooler, Head Gaskets, FICM, wiring harness, $8K in motor so far!!! Standard Clear Title — i love my truck. my dad and i totally rebuilt it. it doesn't have a six speed transmission in it but it does have a powerstroke motor. for the amount of money i have invested in this truck i couldnt ask for more. it is a 4x4 lariat package with leather interior that could use i little bit of fixin but im workin on gettin that done |
