Pros

Very positive handling and elevated ride position.

Cons

Tends to rust out the wheel arches.  Later models added plastic covers.

Rock Solid — It is a very sturdy car. Ford did a nice job of designing in safety and comfort. Reminds me of the old Jeep Grand Cherokee. This is a little more refined with cloth seats, carpet and door panels. The jeep had a lot of plastic, vinyl and rubber matting. Nice space for carrying a dorm-room of gear. Back seat folds down flat. The last time I had to move furniture, I was amazed at how much you can pack in there. It's easy to work on the engine and suspension system.

Pros

I'm impressed with this vehicle.  Its a solid smaller SUV.  The size was more than enough space while making it easy to drive, handle and park.

Cons

The placement of the starter switch took some getting use to.

A Great Little Work Horse — I found that I had all the power I needed for quick acceleration without waiting.l In addition it was smooth and quiet. Braking was smooth and control. I had know problem feeling safe and relaxed while driving. The car has a firm, solid ride.

Pros

Great drive for both short and long trips with my family of 5.  Smooth and comfortable ride of a larger vehicle but has the zip and feel of driving like a sedan.

Cons

Doesn't has an .MP3 port.

Great Family Car — Good gas milage and great visibility. Stops on a dime and can easily squeeze in to small spaces with little effort if needed. Has all the power you would need for off-road use but smooth suspension makes this car feel more like a highway vehicle.

Pros

This SUV handles great in snow and has great acceleration as well as cargo space.  Additionally it has good gas mileage given the size of the vehicle averaging 17-20 mpg in the city.  It has been extremely reliable and is very spacious.  Just a great practical vehicle

Cons

Turning radius and stereo system could be improved.  Honestly overall this car handles top notch and comes with very low maintenance costs.

It Is An Absolutely Great Reliable Car That Will Last For Many Years To Come. — Honestly I didn't find much I disliked....the car handled my travel needs amazingly. I would have to say the turning radius of the car was my biggest 'con' and the stereo system which I would have upgraded if I would have kept this vehicle.

The Ultimate Utility Suv! — My daily driver that does everything by taking me to the construction worksites with tools and materials to taking me from site to site working as an official for basketball, volleyball and softball! This vehicle is 10 years old and I would drive it anywhere! :-)

My Ford Escape — This was a pretty great vehicle. My husband is a Toyota guy and he was even impressed with it. At about 100,000 miles we started having some problems with a couple of cylinder coils. Once we had them replaced, we didn't have any more problems.

Title In Hand — I like the fact i dont have to worry if it is going to start ,cruse control and tilt steering I like the fact that the doors and windows are power lock and child proof.and the rack on top helps with larger stuff to carry.

The Small Truck Your Family Would Love! — Great everyday driving vehicle, fuel economy is ok but good. Power is decent but its lacking in the higher rpm range. Great in the winter, it has pretty good traction especially with 4wd. Down sides is that it can be a little cramped in the back seat if you're over 6' tall!

3.0 Engine Runs Real Good — 46,000 miles runs strong. towing package imo increases the ability to drive more aggressively. rides on the beach like i was on paved road, came with a 3500 lb. towing package and transmission cooler. cooler a plus for beach driving
