ProsDrive this car if you want a sporty car without the sporty pricetag and lower insurance. ConsAvoid this car if you have kids or regular backseat passengers.

Overall, It's A Fun, Stylish Car. — Performace: It accelerates well for a 3.0...not as quick as the Trailblazer or Silverado, but quick. The Braking is well, but not as great as the Trailblazer or Silverado. It handles well...I've yet to hydroplane in wet weather. Quality: The only real issue with this car is the dash materials. They do not stand up to heat well...the dash has begun to warp and come apart...looking cheap. The Chevrolets had much better choice of dash material, as well as Dodge trucks. It holds water in the floor when it rains too...or the ac leaks in the interior...not real sure. Other than that, it's a nice ride. Appearance: I'll start with the interior. It has nice styling...nice clean lines and "mood" lighting at night. The gauges go from black in the day to orange at night...which adds a nice little touch. The seats could be done a little different though. As long as this car is, if there is someone in the backseat, it is very uncomfortable for people in the front seat. The exterior is clean, but the bumpers should be made out of something other than plastic...the paint does not do well on the bumpers...it is peeling and cracking. Maybe it's a poor choice of paint? The stock 17" R/T Chrome plated wheels are nice too. All it needs is a moon roof and tinted windows. Cost: Gas mileage is very good for a "sport" car. I get about 30 mpg on the hwy and 24 mpg in the city. This ofcourse, varies by how it's driven. Maintenance as far as brakes and oil changes is normal for most sedans. Tires, however, are low profile, so they don't last very long and depending on how nice of a tire...the cost can vary from $60/tire to $200+/tire. Fairly cheap for a fun sporty car. Gas is cheaper than the Chevrolets, but lacks power and pulling abilities...obviously. lol Fun Factor: This car is fun to drive. It comes with a 7 speaker Infiniti Sound System and sounds great. It could use some subs in the trunk though if you're looking for a lot of thump. Otherwise, it hits nicely. It's stylish...and almost unique...not a lot of these on the road. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

ProsPerformance, gas mileage, sporty appearance ConsServiceability, transmission, basic interior

Stratus As A Sports-sedan — Dodge made the right decision in giving Stratus a facelift. Instead of being just another beat down Stratus with a funny nose job has turned into a sports-sedan. With a V6, it actually does very well on gas, with great city acceleration and highway driveability. Some problems exist with the transmission slippage and highly difficult in the serviceability department. Any repair is time-consuming and difficult. All in all, the vehicle is very safe and I would recommend this car to anyone who still wants a fast car but at the same time comfortable with basic amenities.

ProsCruise control and A/C ConsFender and front panel attachment points-are worn or broken and thus you cannot fix by simply replacing screws.

'04 Dodge Stratus — I wanted a second car to commute and transport kids without the look of a "grocery getter." It was a salvalge and thus far no major problems that except for things that I did not maintain properly. Seem good quality, gas mileage decent, fun? Not at all but it has A/C and runs well. Primary Use: Commuting to work

I Think This Car Would Make Anybody Happy To Drive, And If You Want Speed Then Here You Go — this car over all drives really well, and if you like speed at a decent price then this car is the way to go. Maintenance is easy if you know what you are doing, and this car has real speed and fun. This car is also made by dodge, so if u dont want a import then you can buy this car.

ProsSleek looking car;decent on gas ConsEverything else aside from the looks

Hated It-we Gave It Back To The Dealer After A Year And Told Them To Shove It! — This is a great looking car until you get down to the nitty gritty of the engine. For a newer car it was the worst-we owned it a year and the engine went on it and no matter what we did it was a POS. To fix the car it would have taken over $500 to even get it running-and still wouldn't pass emissions. Nothing short of a new engine would have made this thing run decently. It was well maintained but the build quality was horrible-wouldn't recommend this to anyone! Primary Use: Family transportation
