Cons

Gas guzzler

2004 Bmw X5 3.0 — Absolutely love it- just hard on gas. But it's comfortable, strong, heavy, smooth, safe, responds well, is reliable, looks great and very roomy. Fantastic road trip vehicle. Not too good for city driving but hands down the best SUV in its class! Handles remarkably well on curves and a very stable ride. Steering may be a bit tight for some women; it accelerates quite well for a 3.0 and has awesome bakes. Had very little issues in 4 years of ownership. Aside from astronomical gas bills, have never paid a cent to maintain this vehicle. BMW covers nearly everything! Still get a lot of compliments on it! All in all, its a fun ride and I would recommend it to anyone.

it's a BMW...duh

Cons

...nothing?

An Overall Economical And Fun Suv — A sport, nimble piece of german engineering.... a really fun summer car, and max's favorite vehicle! the giant sunroof is a lot of fun, though it tends to catch a lot of dog slobber! it's a nice change to drive from the full size range rover, much tighter and sportier.

4.4 Love It — not fast enough, and eats gas. i love it tho'. The DVD nav is absolutely terrible. and it has a tape deck!?!?!? and cd + dvd?!?!? odd. ipod connection is a hassle. This thing handles like a dream, compared to other 'trucks'. It really will move when the gas is turned on. At speed it sticks to its line, and never leaves me hanging on for dear life in over steer or understeer. I have taken 30mph corners at over 70mph and it did it unflinchingly.

My True First Love — This is the one that sealed my fate and made me a BMW guy for life! I enjoyed the X5 so much that I eventually began a career with BMW in the sales department. Now I get to experience ALL the different models every time I go to work.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Great Truck! — Nice color. Accelerates and brakes great. No squeaks or rattles. Low-maintenance. Service at dealers is great. Nice design, inside and out. Roomy, good amount of cargo space. Power everything. Decent mileage. Solid, quiet, comfortable, fun to drive. Great on long and short trips.

It's a BIMMER, what more can you say

Cons

Gas prices are killer

Greatest Suv — This truck is insane, not only are the lines of the truck gorgeous but the truck is a beast on the take off as well. quite simply this truck moves, 3 different ways of driving from manual to auto. Braking is spot on. The interior is a reflection of the exterior and the truck is flawless. gas mileage is to be expected in a big V8, and maintenance, well figure it for yourself it is a Bimmer. i would never sell this truck it is fun for the weekend and practical with the family.

Nice Car But Cayenne Is Nicer — while I did not buy this car, I did research it extensively. It is a very nice car. Drove this car and the cayenne and found that the cayenne just seems to handle better - more of a car feel than the x5 which still feels a bit like a truck.
