Pros

It's a BIMMER, what more can you say

Cons

Gas prices are killer

Greatest Suv — This truck is insane, not only are the lines of the truck gorgeous but the truck is a beast on the take off as well. quite simply this truck moves, 3 different ways of driving from manual to auto. Braking is spot on. The interior is a reflection of the exterior and the truck is flawless. gas mileage is to be expected in a big V8, and maintenance, well figure it for yourself it is a Bimmer. i would never sell this truck it is fun for the weekend and practical with the family.

Pros

Styling, performance, ride, visibility, craftmanship, lack of "fluff" in cockpit.

Cons

Mileage...  it's got a drinking problem.  Low storage compared to traditional SUV's.

Nearly Perfect Grocery Getter. Drives/feels Like A Roomy 5 Series. — A great SUV (BMW calls it an SAV) that's more of a performance sedan than truck. Tight suspension and very responsive. Tremendous agility considering the weight and center of gravity. Very quick to 60, and fast as hell for its type. Panoramic moon roof makes for a very cool interior vibe.

Reliable 2004 Bmw X5, 4.4i — Truly drives like a luxury car, and the stability and "heaviness" of it you can just tell is what makes it safe and an all-around great family car. Only wish this vehicle had a 3rd row of seats offered in newer vehicles.

Nice To Own If You Can Afford One — I like the luxury and room inside. It does cost a fair bit to run around town but a lot beeter on the open road. I feel very safe in wet weather and the view from up high is good.

Basically everything

Cons

The only issue I really have with this car is the gas mileage and the cost of maintenance, but neither is a deal-breaker for me.

Steady Rollin' — Incredible handling and acceleration, especially considering this is a 2.5 ton vehicle! A little thirsty and requires premium fuel, but this is an absolute PLEASURE to drive. Long road trip in an X5? No problem! Little Rock to Cleveland was a smooth enjoyable trip. Maintenance can be costly, but it IS a BMW. Gas mileage isn't the greatest... I average about 19mpg in the city and 26mpg on the highway. Great comfortable vehicle. I love it.

Great Truck! — Nice color. Accelerates and brakes great. No squeaks or rattles. Low-maintenance. Service at dealers is great. Nice design, inside and out. Roomy, good amount of cargo space. Power everything. Decent mileage. Solid, quiet, comfortable, fun to drive. Great on long and short trips.

Premium Gas

Bmw X5 Fun Car To Drive — This car is a lot of fun to drive. It will take off when accelerating from 45-70, but there is a delay in acceleration when you first push on the gas. The braking is great and the car drives awesome in the snow with snow tires. The car takes premium gas so it is more expensive to fill up. I have had no problems with it since I got it 13000 miles ago. I would recommend this to a friend.

Fun for an SUV

Cons

window switch locations, interior ergonomics, cup holders or coarse.

A Lot Of Bang For The Buck.. (used Of Coarse) — 23.5 MPG for a 5800 lb fully loaded Sport Utility Vehicle at 80mph is pretty darn good. A very stable fun driving highway SUV. luxury and sport. Haven't had any issues yet. Can't get the wife out of it long enough for an oil change.
