Great For A Second Vehicle If You Have A Family. Very Dependable. — Truck is a good compromise of size and power. A 6 foot bed which totes everything I need along with a 5K lb towing capacity. It will handle 95% of what you will probably throw at it and come back for more. With a newer set of BFGs or Firestone Destination AT tires, I have been very successful in snow, mud, ice, rain etc. Great truck for just about anything.

Noce — good car, great feel on the pedal and clutch and rugged body but it's a rough ride when it's empty, fill it with 1000 lbs of stuff and it rides like a Lexus. Arm rests are brutal but seat is comfortable.

Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)

Pros

Quality package, everything you need but nothing you don't, durable vehicle

Cons

Slightly underpowered, could get better gas mileage, 4-wheel drive on standard cab short-bed would be sick

Tough Lil' Go-getter — Like the looks both inside and out. Nothing flashy or overly exciting but elegant in its simplicity. Cabin is a little cramped for taller people and defintely isn't a carpooling vehicle but is good for hauling reasonable loads good distances with one or two passengers. Engine is fairly powerful for its small size but is definitely not as strong as some larger engines. Gas mileage could be better for the size of the vehicle. Has off-roading capabilities even with only rear-wheel drive (especially rally-style tracks, not so much in mud) with good ground clearance and a capable stock suspension package in pre-runner trim. Vehicle is now 5 years old and still runs and looks brand new.

Best Little Truck You Will Ever Buy — Reliable--but what else would you expect from Toyota. New tires. Less than 6k on the tires. I wouldn't two a big boat behind this truck, but I've moved a trailer full of heavy funiture a couple hundred miles with no issues.

Great Little Truck — One of the best Cars/Trucks I've owned. Good gas milage--very zippy. More power than you would expect from a 4cy. Gas milage is decent--somewhere between 20-23. Little rust on the bumper, seems to be a common problem

Pros

Good Strong Tacoma Pickup with Trailer hitch.  There is also a "Remote Starter" installed which comes in handy on those cold mornings !  Good Tires all around ...

Cons

The Bed has had it share of scratches, but I was going to get a bedliner or have it rubber coated and then this wouldn't be an issue.

Very Good Practical Vehicle — Very good looking Tacoma with Forest Green paint ! This truck has new front brake rotors & pads along with new timing chain and water pump. There has also been a brand new Emergency Brake installed with all Toyota parts. This is a 6 cylander engine with a lot of power over the road or in 4 Wheel drive !

Awesome — Great Truck! Recommend to anyone for any purpose. I would suggest that anyone buying new should get the four door and long bed. Unbeatable in the winter. I'm only trading mine because I don't really use it as a truck anymore and need an SUV.

Great Little Truck Very Unique And Nice Lookin — used it for off roading and commuting to work for the first 2 yrs then after injury just for running errands and transportation. Its not fast but very capable off road and in snow (unstoppable)great build quality duh its a toyota. 17/21 mpg average maintenance. very fun to drive unless you're looking for speed

Buy One, — Prefect reliability so far, 7 years and 110,000 miles. never left me on the side of the road. Tows reasonably well, the only issues towing is could use a little more power. Typical toyota computer though. if you go from beach to mountains. Once you get there best thing to do is disconnect battery both sides and touch the cables together for 30 seconds. resets computer to default. Otherwise it takes about 3 days to learn. Gets most of the performance back.

Good Dependable Vehicle For The Common Person/ Offroader — I bought this truck in the summer of 2006. I have my likes and dislikes about it. So here goes: Likes: Dependable An Offroad Beast Fairly easy to work on when need be 5 speed & V6 & 4wd (getting harder to find all these together) Dislikes: Pretty week on the powerside Seats could be a lot more comfortable As w/ many Toyotas the cab lighting isn't the greatest and bulbs burn out early -Dash and console lights are expensive...$6 a piece...I've replace 2 so far and have 2 more blown behind the dash....and none of them are easy to get to! Extended Cab area is small to say the least with no backward opening doors to help w/ entry
